However, despite the cheap price tag, fashion fans are left totally divided by a reduced pair of two-strap Primark sandals.

Savvy shopper and Primark fan Christine Garrington recently took to social media to proudly show off her bargain Primark buys.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a private group with 2.3 million members, she said: “This is my first time posting as I never get a bargain!

“My sister in law bought me these pink shoes from Primark for £2!

“They are so comfy, I went back for more colours.”

Christine then shared a snap of her three new pairs of sandals – one pair in bright pink, another pair in white and the third pair a beautiful mint green colour.

The buckle sandals are great for slipping on for a summer day out.

Whether you’re nipping to the supermarket and running errands, or going to a pub garden with the girls, these versatile summer shoes are great for a variety of occasions.

Christine shared her post just 16 hours ago and it has clearly garnered attention of many, as it has quickly amassed 817 likes and 343 comments.

But social media users were left divided at the slip-on sandals – while some were stunned at the cut-price buy, not everyone was as convinced.

One person said: “I need these in my life.”

Another added: “Wow what a bargain, these are great and so comfy.”

A third commented: “They are honestly the most comfortable sandals I think I’ve ever worn. I’ve literally worn them nearly every day since I bought them, they’re like walking on clouds.”

Whilst someone else chimed in: “Comfiest sandals ever!! I hurt my foot on holiday last year and these were a life saver.”

However, at the same time, someone asked: “Do they make farting noises when you walk in them?”

To this, many fashion fans claimed that the cheap sandals do indeed make a strange noise when you walk in them.

One fashionista claimed: “Yes!!! I paid £1 per pair a few days ago and I started farting!! My kids thought it was hilarious!”

A second agreed: “They actually do!! I have them.”

Another Primark shopper explained: “I returned mine for this reason.”

Whilst someone else revealed: “My sandal snapped whilst out the other day and I bought these to get home in and omg yes they do lol.”

Not only this, but other Primark shoppers were quick to share their thoughts on the sandals.

One claimed: “They make your feet sweat soooooo bad.”

Whilst another chimed in: “I think they would rub and give blisters.”
