Caleb Coffee has spoken out for the first time after falling 80ft from a cliff while hiking in Hawaii – landing on scorching hot lava rocks.

The TikTok star, who has 11million followers on the social media platform, was hiking in the US state on Wednesday when he suffered the near-fatal injuries.

Communities and towns in Hawaii have recently been devastated by wildfires, with The Rock and Jason Momoa leading calls to raise money for local families.

Caleb, 18, made his name on the video editing and sharing app by posting a variety of content, including stunts, climbing clips, and his attempts at viral trends.

After falling off the 60-80ft cliff, he was airlifted to hospital where he was initially said to be fighting for his life before fans were told he was in a stable condition.

Now the full extent of his injuries have been revealed, with initial fears that Caleb had broken his neck now downgraded to ‘irritation’ following an MRI scan.

In the video posted on Friday morning, Caleb spoke to his followers from his hospital bed, his face badly bruised, with cuts and stitches across his forehead.

He opened the video by saying: ‘Hey, everybody, I just want to give a massive thank you to anyone that’s trying to help me or support me right now.’

‘I just want to let you know and give you a little update – my neck and spine are not broken. So thank you so much, God,’ he added, holding back tears.

Caleb moved from Texas to Hawaii earlier this year, announcing the move on Instagram. Since then, he has explored almost every corner of the island state.

‘I want everybody to know that anyone who is supporting me, I really appreciate you guys, and I’m doing my best to get better,’ before saying goodbye.

However, he then recorded a second video, during which he thanked God and his fans, and admitted ‘this isn’t the first time’ that he has nearly died.

‘When I was younger, I had severe seizures. I almost died. And yesterday I almost died as well. 60-80ft, I can’t even fathom that. I don’t even remember.’
