Elton John and David Furnish were all smiles as they were joined by their children and celebrity friends David Walliams and Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson during a break in St Tropez.

The Rocketman hitmaker, 76, has been relaxing in the French Riviera alongside husband David Furnish, 60, after closing his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in July.

The pair were spotted with their sons Zachary, 12, and Elijah, 10, as well as friends including comedian David Walliams, actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson.

The star-studded group was seen boarding a yacht and chatting among the group, both wearing eye-popping summery outfits.

Former Britain’s Got Talent judge David, 52, wore a smart black shirt and contrasting white shorts, accessorising with black sunglasses.

He could be seen smiling away as he carried his black sandals while boarding the vessel, and talking to Elton and friends once they settled in.

Kraven the Hunter’s Aaron, 33, meanwhile went light and breezy with a white shirt unbuttoned to show off his chest.

He wore beige-coloured trousers and matching brown shoes and a belt to complete the look.

The actor was joined by his director wife Sam, 56, who wore a striking black shorts and yellow blouse combo for the trip.

Sir Elton and David have been friends for a number of years, with the presenter previously revealing the iconic singer had offered to sing at his 50th birthday party.

‘He said is anyone performing at your birthday and I went no and he went, “Oh I’ll do it, I’ll do three songs” and then he did Your Song and dedicated it to my mum and put in her mum Kathleen into the song… which was incredible,’ he said during an appearance on Lorraine in 2021.

‘I didn’t tell anyone he was going to do it because I thought otherwise people will just be going “When’s Elton on?” and “Oh he only did three songs” so it was amazing because it was a total surprise,’ he added.

Sam is also a longtime friend of Elton, with him attending her and Aaron’s wedding back in 2012 and serenading the pair, Hello! reported.

Sir Elton and his husband David’s break in the sun comes after they both spoke openly about the musician’s hectic schedule taking him away from his family.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, David said: ‘You’re saying goodbye to a long commitment of time because it’s a bunch of shows that are planned six months, 12 months in advance.

‘It’s hard. I really miss him. The boys really miss him. He really misses us. He’s had enough of that. We’ve had enough of that. Now it’s time to spend more time together as a family.

‘We could not be happier and more excited about it, and a lot of people would say like, “Oh, you must be really emotional”, but at the end of the tour, he and I both sit at the table and go, “We can’t wait to be a family”.’

The singer was recently spotted dining with disgraced actor Kevin Spacey after giving evidence at his sexual assault trial.

Sir Elton and David were called to testify regarding Kevin’s presence at the couple’s annual White Tie and Tiara ball in 2001 and whether the star had ever visited their home in Windsor on another occasion.
