Ariana Madix has called Bethenny Frankel out over her recent podcast interview with Raquel Leviss, branding some of her remarks ‘hurtful’.

Earlier this year, the Vanderpump Rules star’s nine-year relationship with boyfriend Tom Sandoval imploded after it emerged that he had an affair with their co-star.

After the scandal broke, Raquel took a step back from the spotlight but appeared on Bethenny’s Just B podcast last week, to share her side of the story.

In the three-part sit-down chat, the former Real Housewives of New York OG stated that she hadn’t done too much research on the drama, and hadn’t watched many episodes of the Bravo program beforehand – with her opinions not going down well.

In a candid chat on Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast, Ariana explained that, although she had not listened to the interview, she was aware of what was discussed, and has no issue with her former pal getting her own story out there.

‘Obviously she was going to at some point, it makes sense. But some of the things that were said made me really sad, made me angry…,’ the Dancing With The Stars hopeful began.

‘I understand that she’s still going along with some things that were told to her over the last year or so, from the other party in said affair, and that made me really sad. I can understand why she put a lot of weight onto what was told to her, part of me is like, “Okay, I get why – even though you should know better at this point that those things are not true – you’re choosing to believe him.”

‘But Bethenny is who I feel like should have known better, and who actually upset me more in the things that were said.’

Reflecting on the heated VPR season 10 reunion, which was filmed just days after the seven-month affair was revealed, Ariana defended her comments to Raquel, in response to Bethenny’s suggestion that she had been too vicious.

She also branded the presenter ‘hurtful’ for dismissing her pain as she wasn’t married to Tom and there were no children involved.

Discussing their bond, she explained that the TomTom owner was regarded as her ‘common law spouse’ in many states, stating: ‘I find that hurtful in regards to other women in relationships who don’t have children.

‘Maybe they can’t have children or don’t want children or don’t want to get married. None of those people’s relationships are less meaningful because of that.

‘She should know better than to say that about anybody.’

As well as this, Ariana was left furious by comments Bethenny had made in a separate interview, claiming that she had forgiven Tom for his part in the affair.

‘Why are you speaking for me? First of all, I don’t know you, and you don’t know what the f**k you’re talking about, lady,’ she added. ‘There were a lot of things said by her that actually made me more angry, because I feel like she should know better.’

Bethenny has yet to speak out over Ariana’s interview, but has been defending the three-part episode after being slammed by frustrated listeners.

When one follower fumed that ‘no one cares’ about the former pageant queen’s side to the scandal, she simply told them, ‘Then don’t listen’.

To another, she insisted that it was their ‘choice’ to dislike Raquel for her part in the affair.
