I was terrified I’d look like a waitress in £25 Boohoo buy, but it’s a surprise hit – it’s so stylish

A FASHION fanatic has hailed a £25 Boohoo buy as a “cool” autumn essential – after fearing it would make her look like a waitress.

Ellie Butler regularly shares her shopping buys and outfit choices with her army of followers on social media.

In a recent video (@ellxbutler), she did a huge Boohoo haul for autumn with some cute “transitional pieces” for the colder seasons.

Ellie – the childhood sweetheart of Celtic’s Liam Shaw, currently on loan at Wigan Athletic – picked up a pair of striped trousers, joggers, a cropped trench coat, fleeces, a knitted co-ord and a tracksuits.

But it was a black waistcoat that had the fashionista nervous.

“I did try one of these on, it must have been like a year and a half ago maybe”, the size 10 footie WAG said.

“I did not like it at all. It didn’t suit me. I looked like a waitress, it was not cute.

“But I keep seeing more and more people in them and I really, really want to be able to pull it off because I love how they look.”

Holding it up for the camera, Ellie added: “Let’s put something together with this and hopefully I don’t like I’m gonna come and deliver you a diet Coke on the table.”

The blonde fashionista picked up the waistcoat in a size 12 for a slightly oversized look.

And she was left more than impressed with the £25 item.

She gushed: “I’m sold, absolutely obsessed.

“It’s like an asymmetric one so it goes down diagonally rather than the front which I think makes it look a bit less waitressy.

“Look at this, this is cool. It fits perfectly.”

She added: “The one that I tried on before, it was too tight and it made me look like my arms were massive and it just did not suit me.

“I feel like, get a little bit oversized, maybe size up a size.

“This haul’s not going back is it? This is going in my wardrobe.”
