Mum and dad with 22 kids forced to face medical bills after hurricane strikes holiday-Josie Copson-Entertainment – Metro

Sue Radford is currently holidaying with her large family in Florida – a state that has been struck by a hurricane.

Some of her fans voiced concerns after the warnings, but Sue, 48, has assured them that they are safe.

She wrote on Instagram stories: ‘Lots of messages about the hurricane. So far we are all ok but keeping a close eye on the news for updates’.

Hurricane Idalia made landfall on Wednesday morning – making it the first major storm to pass through Florida’s Big Bend region.

Idalia had grown into a Category 2 system on Tuesday and became a Category 3 on Wednesday, before strengthening to a Category 4 and then weakening slightly to a high-end Category 3.

Four states have declared states of emergency as winds are predicted to reach 130mph as Idalia travels across Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.

Sue, her husband Noel, 52, and members of their brood have been enjoying their time at Florida theme parks despite the hurricane.

She’s been keeping her 516k followers updated with their action-packed trip to Walt Disney World Resort, which has included watching epic fireworks, eating oversized hot dogs, riding on rollercoasters and having lots of family fun.

After such a busy holiday itinerary, the family decided to enjoy a pool day at their hotel.

However, the day didn’t get off to the best start with their daughter Daisy having to see the doctor for an earache.

Noel explained on their YouTube channel: ‘Poor old Daisy was just starting to complain of an earache yesterday. She had some calpol yesterday and seemed to be okay, but today she’s been in an awful lot of pain.’

The concerned parent took her to the local medical centre but admitted he was ‘dreading’ the costs.

‘It was $250 for the consultation, and then the antibiotics itself they were another $45. It could have been a lot worse I suppose.’

He then shared plans to claim back some of the money on insurance but added he would lose excess.

They are pretty accustomed to holidays and dealing with anything that comes up as Flordia is their 18th holiday in nearly as many months.

The family, whose eldest is 34 and youngest is three, have visited – wait for it-Cornwall twice, the Lake District four times, Disney World three times, Scotland and Lapland since December 2021.

They’ve also travelled to places including Legoland, Alton Towers, the Maldives, New York and France over the past 12 months.
