I tried Zara’s new autumn collection – leather top looks like a battered old sofa, but flatters my body so well
A FASHION fanatic has compared a new Zara top to a battered old sofa – but insisted it’s a flattering date night piece.

In a recent video (@ellxbutler), she ordered some pieces from the high street store’s new autumn arrival’s.
Ellie – the childhood sweetheart of Celtic’s Liam Shaw, currently on loan at Wigan Athletic – said: “I’ve got a big Zara haul and I’m very excited.
“I’ve not been loving Zara recently but I went on [their website] the other day and I could have bought everything.”
The size 10 footie WAG bagged a blue striped shirt and matching shorts, a shimmer top and trousers, and black jeans.
She also picked up a white asymmetric top, black ballet bumps, a denim jacket and white crop top in her £270 haul.
And Ellie was pleasantly surprised by a strapless leather top after trying it on.
She said: “We’ve got this leather bandeau top, a dressy top that my wardrobe needs.
“It’s like an old settee that’s how I would describe it, you know like in a rich person’s house they have like these deep round leather settees that’s just what it reminds me of.
“So I’m thinking this even with these jeans it could be quite cute or we could do double leather.
“I’ve seen some chocolate leather trousers as well, if that matched that would be nice like little two-piece outfit.
“It’s really really soft and I just think when you’re nice and tanned, a bit of shimmer on your chest it could just be another nice basic to keep in your wardrobe just for the last minute unplanned date night.”
“The colour of this is perfection, I feel like it goes well with the blonde hair as well”, she gushed.”
“I don’t normally wear brown either but I really like how it looks. I’ve just popped up with some blue jeans.”
The blonde fashionista bought the £25.99 leather effect strapless top in a size large.
She said: “I sized up one size in this which does feel a little bit big on but the zip zips down the side [and] doesn’t go all the way to the bottom, so you’ve still got to get it over your head which I didn’t struggle with.
“I feel like I would be okay the size below but it was a lot easier I feel to get this one on.”
She added: “It fits really nicely. It’s so, so soft and I would be comfortable going for a meal in this, going out in this.
“You could get a little brown skit maybe and dress it up for like a night out.
“I really like this. I love how it fits and I feel like it’s flattering because it’s got all the ruching as well.
“I feel like it flatters your body really nicely rather than being like stuck to it.”
