He may be known as ‘The Dark Destroyer’, but The Chase star Shaun Wallace has been doing his best to inspire his followers with a series of motivational videos.

The barrister first came to public prominence back in 2004 when he won Mastermind and went on to join The Chase in 2009.

While he doesn’t hold back in trying to assert his dominance when it comes to taking out the competition on the quiz series, he’s been sharing plenty of encouraging tips to his followers online.

In recent weeks Shaun, 63, has been dishing out advice on days including when the GCSE results were released and on the recent Bank Holiday.

His followers can’t get enough, with many thanking him for spreading positive vibes.

Last month Shaun followed in Jeremy Clarkson’s footsteps by offering students some comfort ahead of receiving their results but took a slightly different approach to the former Top Gear presenter does when sharing advice.

‘Results normally follow hard work. It’s not always about coming top of the class, it’s about coming “top” of your potential,’ he shared.

‘But when you work to your full potential, results often follow.

‘Speaking from experience, I failed my exams! Have a great day!’

The next day Shaun shared that he’d had another slight setback when deciding to try his hand at golf.

‘You can’t get everything in life right, first time around,’ he wrote.

He then went on to explain that while he had been inspired to finally have a go, he wasn’t as talented as he would have liked, but took it on the chin and simply said he ‘must be good at other stuff’.

Then, on the Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend, Shaun told people to have an incredible day, adding that he hoped the sun would ‘shine on you and in your lives’, while asking them to ‘try and spread the joy’.

The next day he encouraged people to ‘go and do something positive or visit that person you’ve been meaning to visit’.

‘Seize the day and make it work for you,’ he added.

Comments from fans have shown their love for Shaun’s approach, with one person recently writing they ‘needed a nudge’ to seize the day.

Another said his ‘inspirational positive posts’ brought a ‘breath of fresh air’.

The Chase is streaming on ITVX.
