Sophie Turner confirms Joe Jonas divorce in devastating announcement-Danni Scott-Entertainment – Metro

After days of speculation, Sophie Turner has confirmed that she and Joe Jonas are parting ways.
She took to Instagram to share a joint statement from the couple, who have been together since 2016 after rumours that Joe had filed for divorce.
They share two children and have asked for privacy for themselves in what she called a ‘united decision’.
Speculation arose after Joe, 34, was spotted without his wedding ring on while performing on his world tour with The Jonas Brothers.
Confusion came quickly after as the couple appeared to be back together, with Sophie, 27, attending his gig and the Sucker singer once again wearing his ring.
‘A statement from the two of us,’ she wrote on Instagram in an incredibly minimal post to the devastation of fans who were hoping it was all a misunderstanding.

She continued: ‘After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.
‘There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.’
The couple are thought to have an ‘ironclad’ prenup, protecting their assets as they are both wealthy with a joint estimated net worth of $62 million (£50 million).
After being spotted ringless, Joe was said to have sent his team to scout out at least two Los Angeles-based divorce lawyers.
He then posted on his Instagram with a photo of him wearing his ring, which fans thought was the low-key couple’s way of dispelling the rumours.
Sophie was spotted on a night out in Birmingham amid the rumours but at the time reportedly told the venue manager that it wasn’t true.
Joe was said to like spending time at home while Sophie preferred ‘partying’, causing a rift, although old interviews suggested the Game of Thrones star was also a ‘homebody’.

The pair met in 2016 after Joe slid into Sophie’s DMs and quickly became inseparable.
They wed three years later at two ceremonies, one of which was an impromptu occasion in Las Vegas – without parents being told.
Throughout their almost decade-long relationship, the pair have kept pretty private about their home life and haven’t even shared their youngest daughter’s name.
In 2020, they revealed Sophie was pregnant with a sneaky baby bump post and didn’t confirm the birth of Willa until weeks later.
Their second daughter was even more private with a Met Gala bump reveal and a pregnancy photo dump after the birth of the child whose name is still unknown.
Fans adored their fun-loving energy and seemingly cool vibe and are still reeling from the shocking news.
