Starfield is ready to update six ‘top community requested features’-kenneth-andersen-Entertainment – Metro
Starfield wants to improve graphics, stability and more after a rocky start.
Bethesda will soon improve graphics, stability and more for its flagship game after a rocky start.
Starfield has received mixed reviews and unsurprisingly, considering the size of the game, struggled with plenty of bugs after its launch earlier this month.
Complaints and suggestions for improvements have crammed online forums and social media since. Bethesda says it welcomes the feedback and have set out how they intend to go about fixing things.
The six features the studio wants to fix in an upcoming patch are focused on, among other things, graphics and an eating button:
• Brightness and Contrast controls
• HDR Calibration Menu
• FOV Slider
• Nvidia DLSS Support (PC)
• 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support (PC)
• Eat button for food
So, get your forks out.
This will not be added immediately, however, as the next update will focus on smaller hotfixes.
After that the patch notes say to, ‘Expect a regular interval of updates that have community requested features.’
Bethesda also reiterates its commitment to modding, saying:
‘Additionally, we are working on our built-in mod support (Creations) that will work across all platforms similar to what we’ve done with Skyrim and Fallout 4. This full support is planned to launch early next year.’
Bethesda wants to add bigger features, like city maps, but at the moment killing bugs and addressing stability issues is their priority.
That means we’ll have to wait for the really big additions, although why they never thought to have maps from the start is a mystery.

Modding is a staple in any Bethesda game, like Skyrim and Fallout, and mod support was always expected to be part of Starfield.
As Bethesda’s first new intellectual property in over 25 years, and considering the investment they’ve made to produce Starfield, we should expect the studio to support their bug killing team for a long time to come.
