Sophie Turner and Taylor Swift, who’ve both had relationships with Joe Jonas, joined forces for a girls’ night out in New York.

The pair enjoyed dinner at the Italian restaurant Via Carota just two weeks after Joe and Sophie filed for divorce.

They looked super delighted to be in each other’s company, as they linked arms and smiled while making their way through the Big Apple.

The new pals surely had plenty to discuss over fusilli and Aperol spritzes, with their sharing of an ex… or perhaps they just debated whether the Game of Thrones finale could have been better. Either way, we love this friendship – a combination of two true icons!

Taylor, 33, dated Joe all the way back in 2008 but just for a couple of months. Although their relationship didn’t last – she did bond with Selena Gomez thanks to their liaison. Joe, his brother Nick Jonas, Taylor, and Selena all went on a double date, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. We love Taylor’s ability to always make friends!

The relationship between Sophie, 27, and Joe, 34, is much more recent and serious. They began dating in 2016, married in 2019 and went on to welcome two daughters – three-year-old Willa, and a baby daughter born in summer last year. Their shock split was confirmed with a joint statement earlier this month.

‘A statement from the two of us,’ it began.

‘After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.’

Sources claimed Joe and Sophie clashed over their ‘very different lifestyles’ – while ‘she likes to party, he likes to stay at home’ – despite resurfaced interviews suggesting the opposite. Whatever the reason, they insisted it was a choice they made together.

‘There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.’

For the New York occasion, both singer Taylor and actress Sophie proved they know how to nail girls’ night chic.

Sophie wore a sparkly crop top, grey combats and baby blue Nike dunks, which are perfect for pounding the pavement.

Meanwhile, Taylor communicated with just a rust-toned jumper dress, chunky brown boots, and an oversized denim jacket that it is time we all dig out our autumnal wardrobes.
