Fashion whizz Trinny Woodall shares four ways to tie a jumper around your body when you need an extra layer on hand

FASHION whizz Trinny Woodall has revealed her top four ways of tying a jumper around your body when you need an extra layer.

It’s hard to know what to wear for the temperature at this time of the year – and nobody wants to lug a jacket around all day.

Style guru Trinny, 58, has shared her hack for beating the unpredictable weather.

She recommends bringing a jumper out with you and tying it around you.

In a YouTube video, she shared her top four ways to tie a jumper around your body.

Trinny, whose real name is Sarah-Jane, started off by recommending the classic style of tying a jumper around your waist.

It’s a version we all know and love – but then she went on to recommend some more modern styles, such as tying it even higher on your waist.

“I realised the merit of wanting to change the length of my legs,” Trinny said.

“If I tied a jumper high [on my waist], I could kind of bring the waistband up.

“This is when I had more hipster trousers.”

She said that tying a jumper higher on your waist makes your legs look longer.

Her second method is to just drape the jumper over your shoulder.

This look is perfect for when it’s too cold to be rocking just a tee but too hot to have a jumper on.

You can style it multiple ways too: tying it around the back to show off your waist or just looping the sleeves together across your chest.

Trinny’s third method was to tie the jumper around your neck “like it’s a polo neck or a scarf”.

The fourth way was to tie the jumper diagonally across your body .

“It might seem odd but there’s something I like about this look,” Trinny said.

“It just gives another dimension to a jumper. You have it at an angle.

“And because I wear a crossbody bag, it’s echoing the direction.

“It feels nonchalant and I did it all day today and I loved it, so I thought I’d come on here and show you.”
