I’m plus-size and racked up loads of debt from shopping – my new Boohoo top was a fail, it wouldn’t fit my melons

A SHOPAHOLIC was left devastated after having a mishap with a top that she got into debt to buy.

Kelsie (@kelsies_world96) admitted that she had been spending beyond her means as she opened a new package from Boohoo.

The fashionista boasts over 187,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares style inspiration for women with a fuller figure.

She took to the social media platform to try on a white off-the-shoulder top that she had ordered online.

The exact match has since sold out, but a similar style with long sleeves is available from Boohoo for around $5.

Kelsie said: “Last thing for hauls and stuff for a while because I’m in debt now.

“I don’t get sent things for free guys. I do this all for you and obviously myself who doesn’t like nice things.”

Opening her Boohoo order, she continued: “I just bought one top of Boohoo and it’s really summery. How cute is that?”

Kelsie was visibly excited as she held up the top with the Boohoo tag still attached.

However, she soon loudly sighed and grew frustrated as she pulled on it while failing to get it to go past her breasts.

She said: “I ain’t bought anything from Boohoo for ages because of these reasons.

“It won’t go over me, there’s no way of getting it round.

“Yes, this is my size. It’s all to do with what this is in the middle.”

Kelsie lifted the top off and continued to vent about the sizing as she held it in her hands.

She said: “It’s stretchy at the back. This is my size but for some reason, it’s really tight and I can’t explain it. There’s no give in it.

“People ask me where I shop, I don’t shop at Boohoo. I just thought let’s give it a go but no never again.

“I’m not real happy about it, to be honest. They are just… I’m not even going to go into it.”

Kelsie remained determined to find a similar style broderie top.

She captioned her post: “If anyone sees a top like this in plus size let me know, please.

“I got the top on after ripping it to see if I could make do and even when I got in it, it was too big around the [melons] absolute fail.”

She included the hashtags #plussizefashion, #TikTokhauls, and #fatgirlvibes.

The post went viral with over 20,000 views, 1,200 likes, and commenters admitting they’ve also struggled to get their correct size when shopping online.

One person wrote: “Boohoo really knocks my confidence.

“I ordered two different bodysuits in sizes bigger than I am and neither of them was even close to fitting.”

A second said: “I did a Boohoo haul shocking! Got a hoodie size 20 and top 22…

“Top was meant to be full-length but was about three inches long and too tight… and I’m a size 18 usually.”

A third chimed in: “I stopped buying from Boohoo because of this.”

Another added: “Omg I bought a size 26, a size bigger than I am.

“It was a similar style and it fit my kid, who is size 14, perfectly. I was fuming.”
