Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper is pained to admit Jeremy Clarkson is becoming a better farmer.

The farming contractor, 24, has been working with the former Top Gear star, 63, who famously decided to try his hand at farming after purchasing 1000 acres from what was formerly part of the Sarsden estate in Oxfordshire in 2008.

Their efforts at the farm, named Diddly Squat to indicate its lack of productivity at the start, have been filmed for the Amazon Prime series over the past two years.

With Jeremy’s minimal farming knowledge, Kaleb was brought on board to advise him on the technical details of using farming equipment and to help with numerous general tasks.

Although the two have clashed at times, especially when the TV star has ignored instructions, Kaleb has now said Jeremy is actually improving his skills.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Friday, Kaleb was asked by hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway how Jeremy was progressing.

‘I am being very nice and it hurts me to say this but I think there is a farmer in there,’ he shared.

‘I am just trying to break it out of him and he is extremely good, annoyingly this is going to hurt me to say this, he is really good at pig farming and he has literal knowledge now which I think is very dangerous,’ he added.

During the interview Kaleb did say working with Jeremy was ‘great fun’ however he was left ‘frustrated’ at time when his advice was ignored.

‘I thought he would listen [when we first met] but he didn’t and it was hard work so I just had to shout at him,’ he explained.

Speaking about his passion for the industry, Kaleb said farming was more than a job to him, but a ‘way of life’.

But despite picking up many fans since appearing on the series, he shut down claims he was now a celebrity and said he ‘hated’ being called one.

Despite there being a cloud over the future of the series after an Ipso investigation ruled a piece Jeremy wrote about Meghan Markle was sexist, this week it was confirmed filming had wrapped on the third season.

Lisa and Diddly Squat Farm Shop’s official Instagram account shared a short clip of farm manager Kaleb looking elated and captioned the post: ‘Whoooop! S3 IN THE BAG.’

It comes after Prime UK’s head of original Dan Grabiner told the Edinburgh TV Festival in August that ‘no decisions’ had been made about the show’s future.

Clarkson’s Farm is streaming on Amazon Prime. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1.
