Gangster-turned-actor Dave Courtney, 64, dies of gunshot wound at London home-Aisha Nozari-Entertainment – Metro
His death was confirmed in a statement.

Dave Courtney has been found dead at his London home with a gunshot wound aged 64.
Once an associate of the Kray twins, the gangster-turned-actor was found on Sunday.
A statement posted on Courtney’s Instagram said: ‘It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Courtney at the age of 64.’
The statement also claimed Courtney took his own life.
It continued: ‘Dave tragically took his own life in the early hours of Sunday 22nd October, with a firearm at his Camelot Castle home in Plumstead.
‘Details about funeral arrangements will be provided in due course. His family ask for respect during this period of mourning.’

According to the Sun, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called at about 11:25hrs on Sunday, 22 October to a residential address on Chestnut Rise, SE18 following reports of a man found deceased.
‘A 64-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed. Formal identification has not taken place.
‘The death is currently being treated as unexpected and is under investigation. There have been no arrests.’

Courtney’s death comes after he appeared in court in July for having knuckledusters, daggers and throwing stars in his home.
Courtney had the charges dropped against him after they were found to be props for a film.
In 2017, he suffered a minor heart attack which he vowed wouldn’t be the end of him.
He had also claimed to have been shot, stabbed and had his nose bitten off, during a life of crime and violence.
Courtney appeared as a gangster in a series of low-rent crime films including Six Bend Trap and The Dead Sleep Easy.
He had been writing his tenth book and recently told about how proud he was of his life.
