I tried viral Amazon jeans – I’m a size 6 but the stretch over my mom pouch made me look like I’d had 20 C-sections
A MOM who tried out a pair of Amazon jeans has despaired at this denim look that has enjoyed wide viral appeal.
She was baffled by their popularity because they did not flatter her one little bit.

Kaitlin Kime (@kait_kime), who has 80,000 followers, is a size 6, but the stretch over her mom pouch made her look like she’d had 20 C-sections.
It most definitely was not a look she desired. The pain was made even worse because these jeans were not cheap.
“I was so shocked that they were almost $50. They are not worth a solid $10-$15,” she said.
Do not, she said, splash out on them. She was sending hers back.
Kaitlin showed a picture of the Amazon posting.
“The wash is really cute, the style is really cute, but you really can’t tell the exact fabric.”
But she had to try them on for viewers to demonstrate her gripe with these denims.
“Look at that stretch,” she said. It was so bad she felt it couldn’t properly be described as denim.
“It literally feels like a jegging, and this could pass for that.
“After wearing them for literally five seconds they were so stretched out.”
This mom of one couldn’t believe the appearance these jeans gave around her stomach area.
“The stretch does nothing for this area right here. Makes it look like I’ve had 20 C-sections not just one.”
But 48% of buyers of the Asvivid high-waisted, flared jeans gave them a 5-star rating.
One reviewer was super-impressed: “These fit so great they hugged my thighs and waist but were not overly tight. They were very flattering. My butt looked great in these.”
But it was a very different story for Kaitlin. She would not be a returning customer.
Her final verdict was emphatic: “These are definitely a no for me.”
Commenters understood where she was coming from.
One of them said: “I hate it when jeans do that weird stretchy thing in the front. It just screams cheap.”
While another had her own experience to share.“I remember buying the $100 American Eagle dream jeans and they did that.”
