I’m a size 22 & I did an Asos haul for a winter wedding guest dress – my boobs stole the limelight but not in a good way

A PLUS-SIZE woman has revealed that she did a huge Asos haul in search of a winter wedding guest dress – but it was a mega fail.

However, unfortunately for Poppy Adams, who is a size 22, her boobs stole the limelight a variety of times, but not how she intended.

tiktok/@poppyadams92She also wasn’t keen on the cut-out of this dress[/caption]

Sharing her blunder on social media, Poppy posted a clip with the caption ‘Plus-size Asos wedding guest dress try on haul fail.’

The fashion fan said: “We’re trying on wedding guest dresses.

“Nothing says desperation more like a giant box from Asos. I think there’s about 12 dresses in here.

“The wedding is in three days, let’s go.

“I was throwing all sorts in my basket, so it’s going to be a fun surprise for us all.

“Now, I do have a back-up dress I already own, that I have worn before if all else fails.”

Poppy then tried on her first dress – a green number, as she joked: “We’re off to a strong start.

“This dress is giving ‘I think I’m the main character’, I’m hugely aware that is very much not the case.

“Good potential to be the main character if I did wear this for all the wrong reasons.

“My breasts are literally out. Gorgeous dress. Just not right. We’re going no.”

Poppy then modelled the second dress in her haul, as she added: “I think I develop a different personality when I’m shopping online because this is the least me pattern ever.

“It’s like when you’ve been on Tinder for too long and then you start swiping on people you don’t even find attractive and then later on, when you get the match, you’re like, ‘was I okay back then?’”

Once the dress was on, Poppy turned to the side and asked: “Right, Asos, we need to have a chat.

“Who wants a window to my flab rolls? Because here it is. The actual dress itself is fine. I think that’s as much as I have to say about it, to be honest.

“It’s giving ‘she was a fairy’, which is not my vibe.”

Following this, Poppy tried on a burgundy dress, but was left with mixed opinions, as she asked: “I love this colour. Is this kinda cute, though? Do I look 60?

“I’m not mad at this. I wish the sleeves were a bit longer. Let’s move on, but I’m not mad.”

Poppy was immediately disappointed when she opened up the next dress, as she claimed: “You know when someone has clearly returned the dress because it smells like someone else’s perfume. I don’t like it.

“She’s kind of gorge, that is so lovely.”

However, Poppy then turned to the side to show off the cut-outs, as she continued: “But why? Why? Give me a reason.

“This literally looks like I have just ripped it. And for that, Asos, I will be returning you. And this could have been the one, but no.”

Poppy then modelled a wrap dress, as she explained: “It’s giving nighty. But we can salvage this.

“I don’t hate this. I definitely don’t hate it. Feels more like an evening on holiday.

“I don’t know. Am I losing it? Have I lost sense of what’s nice now?

“I hate to say it, but the Topshop Curve stuff is good quality. It always feels really nice.

“I think I’d wear this, but maybe not for a wedding.

“But, guys, I’m not gonna do it. These silky ties – one movement, they’re gonna untie, and then we’re gonna be left with a shapeless dress. I can see it in my future, so that one’s a no?”

Poppy next opted for a yellow dress, as she continued: “Do I genuinely dislike myself because I’ve ordered another dress with flab roll windows.

“This colour is giving summer, so it must have been last to go in the basket. This must have been at a really desperate time.

“It’s fine. It’s not lighting my world on fire.

“I do like the length, and that’s about it.”

After yet another disappointment, Poppy then opted for a black dress, but was still disappointed.

She added: “The issue is it’s too big. This is offending me.

“Love the sleeves, sleeves are gorgeous.

“We are veering now more towards funeral than wedding.”

In the hope that things would look up, Poppy tried on a red dress, as she said: “I think this was the dress that made me place the whole order in the first place.

“Cross your fingers and pray.

“This may have to be a strapless bra job, but I’m not mad.

“Length is once again perfect, for reference, I’m 5 foot 7.

“It would look good with the black shoes. I’m possibly thinking I could go down a size.

“Oh, I don’t know, actually. Is it giving 2010? I can’t even tell. I’m gonna need you guys to tell me because I can’t even tell anymore.”

Poppy modelled yet another black dress, as she explained: “Another funeral dress. Can’t wait to see what this looks like.

“This is actually a lovely dress. It’s not for a wedding. It’s got this really nice detail on it as well.

“I like the fact that the sleeves are sheer. Once again, a nice length, but it’s nothing that special.

“You know? We’re getting to the end, guys and I’m not feeling great.”

As Poppy predicted, things didn’t continue all that well, as she then put on a leopard print dress and explained: “I don’t think I actually bought this for the wedding. I think I just bought this because I liked it.

“Am I okay? Did I think a belt would look good with this?

“I don’t know why, I don’t think I like the texture.

“We’re losing track of what’s the important thing here and that’s the wedding.

“Oh, another leopard print dress. Oh my God. This is one sleeved. I don’t even know anymore. Why do I like this?

“Unfortunately, it’s not amazingly made. I wish it fit me slightly better. There’s also a tie that does up at the back but I can’t do that because I don’t have double jointed arms.

“It does look like someone has accidentally ripped the sleeve off the dress. I do feel like possibly this is more of a night out dress.

“It’s a no, but I’m not livid at it.”

To finish the haul, Poppy then tried on the final frock, as she concluded: “One left and I really don’t like the pattern of this.

“Looking like the back up is gonna be the one. This is just the pattern version of the red dress.

“It’s fine. It’s giving summer. I could deal with the cold shoulder when it was  a block colour, but with this pattern, it ain’t me, is it? It ain’t me.

“Oh, and the t**s falling out.

“It was okay. I probably just shouldn’t have bothered. I prefer the dress I already have.”

The TikTok clip, which Poppy posted under the username @poppyadams92 just 15 hours ago, has clearly left many stunned, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 224,400 views.

Although Poppy wasn’t impressed with her haul, social media users were eager to share their thoughts in the comments.

One person said: “The burgundy is the best.”

Another added: “Ok I LOVE the maroon! The prev worn one is fab! The striped shiny one is gorgeous, just not wedding.”

A third commented: “I really like the maroon one (you don’t look 60). Very flattering on you and so pretty with your hair. Have fun!”
