The Royal Variety Performance has announced it’s very special host for this year and it’s unsurprisingly one of the biggest names on British TV.

Last year saw comedy heavyweight Lee Mack on hosting duties with performances from David Baddiel, Frank Skinner, and a tribute to the late Queen.

Viewers of the annual variety show will be thrilled as beloved presenter Bradley Walsh takes to the revered stage at London’s The Royal Albert Hall.

Often bringing viewers to tears with his comedic prowess on The Chase, Bradley, 63, will have to impress the Royal Family at the event.

He shared: ‘I am so excited to be presenting this year’s show. It’s been 30 years this year since I first performed at The Royal Variety Performance, so what an absolute honour to be hosting.

‘The line-up is incredible and I can’t wait for you all to see what I have in store.’

The British legend wasn’t lying as he bragged about the line-up as as multi-award winning superstar Cher will headline – year, you read that right, Cher.

The 77-year-old will be performing a number from her new Christmas album to get everyone in the festive spirit.

A very special Disney display will also be put on in honour of the studio’s 100th anniversary with a medley from the casts of The Lion King, Frozen, Aladdin, Hercules and Beauty & The Beast.

This could be one of the best line ups in years as musical acts include McFly, Rick Astley, Zara Larsson, Paloma Faith, and Hannah Waddingham who is accompanied by the ENO chorus.

Beverley Knight is set to stun with the cast of Sister Act while Britain’s Got Talent winner Viggo Venn joins a stack of comedic talent.

We couldn’t be more excited for this year’s stellar line up – Bradley, you’re going to smash it.

The Royal Variety Performance will air in December on ITV.
