Woman labels her friend a ‘w***e’ for skimpy dinner outfit – but is mortified as she gets dress coded at the restaurant

A WOMAN claims she was “dress coded” at a swanky Vegas restaurant and made to wear a shawl.

A clip of her outfit was shared in a video by a friend, as the diner looked bashful during the meal.

The blonde woman had shown up wearing a matching skirt and top vinyl set, but was given the modest scarf to cover up.

The friend jokingly used an audio over the clip, which said: “Here comes a w***e”.

She added the caption: “When you go to dinner and they dress code you so you have to wear a shawl.”

Despite the joking approach to the saga, TikTok user @livingerica insisted that her friend hadn’t done anything wrong.

She added: “We’re in Vegas… our reservation was at 10:30pm and everyone there was in club attire and yelling blacked out

“This didn’t violate what was stated [on the dress code].”

She also hit back at the way other people in the “fancy restaurant” were behaving, saying it wasn’t “classy.”

People were quick to comment on the dress code situation, and some criticised them for flouting it.

One said: “Don’t go to a classy and elegant setting with a night club outfit. Like nothing wrong with the outfit .. but know your surroundings.”

Another added: “Wear what you want girls but that is not restaurant appropriate, likely to be families around. Good on the restaurant for keeping to their standards.”

However, many supported her, with one writing: “I would have left, that fit deserves to be seen.”

The TikToker replied: “If the dinner weren’t so good and it weren’t impossible to switch to another place, you know we would have.”
