WWE could reportedly launch a new theme song for tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

For the past two years, the weekly show – which features the likes of Rhea Ripley and Drew McIntyre – has started with a package soundtracked by Vo Williams’ track Greatness, making it the longest running song for the programme since CFO$’s four year stint with The Night.

According to reports, WWE bosses have been discussing the prospect of a new theme song and a track has been produced.

Sources told Fightful Select that the potential new tune could debut on the show ‘as soon as this week’, which would be almost two years to the day since Greatness was first used on November 22, 2021.

One potential artist who could be behind the track is Def Rebel, who produced the current SmackDown theme Nobody Better Than Me, as well as several other themes for some of WWE’s biggest superstars.

In the past, the likes of Nickelback, Papa Roach and iconic wrestling composer Jim Johnston have had lengthy runs as the title track.

There could be more changes on the horizon too, with bosses not ruling out a very drastic shift.

Raw has been a constant on television every week since it first aired on January 11, 1993, with fans knowing that Monday night is wrestling night.

Of course, there there have been other shows – SmackDown currently airs every Friday night, with NXT being broadcast on Tuesdays – the red brand has been ever present.

However, TKO – the new brand created as part of the WWE/UFC merger last month – and parent company Endeavor are flexible with TV rights negotiations still underway with SmackDown already set to move from Fox to USA Network while NXT is heading to the CW network.

Streaming platforms like Amazon and even Disney+ have been rumoured as potential destinations for the iconic programmes, and TKO CEO Ari Emanuel has hinted that anything could happen, including Monday Night Raw airing on a different night of the week.

‘We’re 52 weeks a year, and we’re flexible,’ he told Bloomberg. ‘If you want us Thursday night, if you want us Tuesday night, I don’t have any of those schedule issues.’

WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on TNT Sports 1.
