Tiffany Haddish has been arrested and is facing a charge of driving under the influence, it has been claimed.

The Girls Trip actress was reportedly taken into custody in the early hours of Friday morning, after she was alleged to have fallen asleep behind the wheel of a car.

According to multiple outlets, the 43-year-old will be cited for a DUI and released from custody later today.

TMZ reports that Beverly Hills Police Department officers received a call at around 5:45am, informing them that a driver had stopped their car in the middle of Beverly Drive, and was slumped over in the front seat.

It is thought that the vehicle was still running at the time.

Officers responded to the scene where they allegedly placed Tiffany in handcuffs and took her to the station.

A watch commander for the BHPD told PageSix: ‘We responded to a call of a vehicle on the roadway at 5.45 this morning.’

He also noted that officers were told the driver was ‘asleep behind the wheel’, but stressed that there were ‘no traffic collisions.

Tiffany’s car is believed to have stopped ‘in lanes of traffic’, but it is unclear who alerted the police to the situation.

She has not spoken publicly about the claims, but was performing at the Laugh Factory on Thursday night as part of the Thanksgiving feast for the community event.

This marks the second time that the Haunted Mansion star has been in trouble with the law for falling asleep at the wheel.

Last January, she was arrested for a DUI while in Georgia after police officers responded to a 911 call, and was later transported to Fayette County Jail ‘without incident’.

At the time, she spent a few hours in custody before paying $1,666 in bonds and being released.

Tiffany later joked about the incident during an appearance on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, ‘I can say this, Jimmy – I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man, A good man.

‘God went ahead and sent me four… in uniform.’
