I bought a Boohoo dress for Christmas – it looked fab from the front, but then I realised a major design flaw

SHE thought she’d found the perfect Christmas party dress when she put in an order on Boohoo.

But when Lauren’s parcel arrived and she got to try the LBD on, she quickly realised it had a pretty major design flaw.

But when she turned around, there was a split at the back that was unfortunately placedTikTok/@laurenlilylea

She took to TikTok to post a video of her trying on session, while also sharing a picture of how the dress looked on the Boohoo website.

“So I’ve got this dress on now,” Lauren said, modelling it from the front, as she insisted she definitely had it on correctly.

The one-shouldered black minidress was made from sparkly material, and featured a bow detail on one side.

However, while it appeared to be a midi dress on the model, with the hem coming in below her knee, it was most definitely a mini dress on Lauren.

And she soon realised that when she turned around, the split at the back of the dress was in an unfortunate position.

In fact, it was cut so high that the bottom of Lauren’s bum cheek could clearly be seen.

“If that’s your kind of vibe, it might be the perfect dress for you,” she said.

“Me personally, if you’re dancing away… your arse is going to be out, and no-one wants to see all my leg cellulite.”

Lauren went on to add that the “front of the dress is actually really nice”, and said that the draped bow detail is super flattering on the stomach.

She also said that she definitely needed to size up to a 14, but if she got it in the bigger size, she could potentially sew the split up and make it wearable for the festive season.

“Not quite the dress i ordered,” Lauren wrote in the video caption.

“Think @boohoo something may have gone wrong here!”

And lots of people in the comments section admitted they’d had the same issue when ordering the same dress.

“I ordered this dress too and had the same problem, lovely dress but not the length advertised at all!” one wrote.

“I ordered this in the green and had the exact same issue!” another added.

“I’ve stitched the slit and it looks great, definitely recommend instead of returning.”

“Ohh I had the same issue!” a third commented.

“Ordered it in green and had to send it back because the split showed off more than I wanted it to!”

“I ordered this and it came today – exact same!” someone else said.

“Noticed as soon as I took it out it was like a top, not the length advertised at all!”

“There’s 2 lengths to this dress – looks like u ordered shorter one instead of the knee length one in pic shown,” another wrote.

With Lauren responding: “No this is the one I ordered.

“Checked my order to make sure I wasn’t going mad!”

“Whatever you do, don’t bend over!” someone else laughed.
