Savvy fashionista shares the real reason you shouldn’t be buying the viral Primark PJs – they’re ‘boiling you alive’
THEY might be all the rage right now – but according to one shopper, you’re better off not buying the viral Primark pyjamas.
The high street retailer has sent fans into a frenzy with their Soft Touch Boyfriend Pyjamas, which have even been compared to posh SKIMS.

But although the loungewear set – which is now also available in festive colours – has gone viral on social media, one shopper recently urged fellow fashionistas to avoid wasting money on it.
According to Gina, who describes herself your ”Xennial Auntie”, there was no need race to the nearest Primark to snap up the pyjamas everyone’s been raving about – and they won’t keep you as ”cosy” as some have insisted.
”A gentle reminder that you don’t need every viral thing,” said Gina, who had seen the set all over her TikTok.
”Every other post on my FYP [For You Page] are these pyjamas from Primark.
”The influencers are saying that they are so ‘warm’ and they keep you so ‘cosy’.”
Despite the PJs being hailed as the must-have of this season by many, Gina noted that the quality was not as good as some might have imagined.
After carefully inspecting the label on the clothes, eagle-eyed Gina immediately spotted that the garments have been made from polyester.
”Yes, plastic. They’re not keeping you toasty and warm – they’re covering you in plastic and boiling alive.
”It’s not warmth – it’s sweat and a rash,” she hit back at all the influencers and Primark super fans praising the PJs.
”Leave them behind.”
What’s more, those who agreed with Gina also pointed out to the ”crazy” price tag of the pyjamas, as the top alone sells for £14 and the bottoms are sold seperately for £14, whilst a matching robe will set you back by a further £20.
”The viral primark pyjamas….you can live without these,” Gina added in the caption.
Since being shared on the platform, where the stylish fashionista posts under the username @ginaatinukeknight, the clip has racked up close to 65k views in less than 24 hours.
Dozens raced to comments to share their thoughts, with many baffled not only by the price but also the quality.
One said: ”I don’t mind polyester but primark womens pjs are oddly shaped. And the children’s ones fall apart starting at the crotch.”
Another chimed in: ”I get textile dermatitis and polyester is the worst. Pure rashes and itchiness.”
