I never see anyone my size wearing Skims & now I know why, I spent $500, the viral dress gave ‘body’ but was see-through
AFTER seeing hundreds of people rave about Skims, a midsize woman was curious to see if it would look good on her body type.
She was quickly let down when she realized how much skin she’d be showing.
Excited to jump on the Skims trend, a shopper tried on the viral long slip dresstiktok/antidietpilot

A 27-year-old TikToker who goes by @antidietpilot shared her “realistic” Skims haul.
“I never see anyone my size wearing Skims, so I spent $500 or $600 [buying it],” she began in the clip.
The first piece she tried in the haul was a look she was “most excited about” thanks to its virality on TikTok: the $78 long slip dress.
“I always told myself I couldn’t wear it because I didn’t have the body for it, but b**** look at me. Bodying the Skims.”
The only problem?
“Omg no it’s see-through.”
That issue turned out to be a trend throughout her haul.
Wearing the $44 grey boyfriend T-shirt and matching $38 boyfriend boxers, she said she was “torn” on this collection.
“They’re very comfortable, but why are they see-through?” she said, demonstrating how her pink nail polish instantly showed through the bottom’s fabric.
“I don’t like that at all.”
Hoping for an everyday basic, she changed into the $36 cotton rib tank in white.
And big surprise, it was see-through too.
“$40 for a top that I have to wear with a bra? That should be illegal because I don’t like wearing bras.”
While she liked the tank, she thought it was ridiculous to pay nearly $40 for something she had to wear a bra underSKIMS/ tiktok/antidietpilot
To see if she could get behind the undergarment movement, she tried on a few options.
The $52 T-shirt bra was a win.
“I feel like it makes my boobs look good… and it still makes them sit very nicely. So, I’m going to keep the bra and return the shirt.”
The $36 scoop bralette, not so much.
“Maybe Skims is just for the girls who like to have everything showing, because everything is see-through. I don’t understand.
“This is very cute but it’s see-through, so I have to return it.”
She wasn’t a fan of the lace version of the bralette either, noting it was too small for her despite the fact that she bought it in her size.
Viewers thought her takes were correct.
“These look wayyyy too generic for the price tag,” one person wrote.
“Thank you for this. You’ve just saved me like $500,” added another.
