WWE legend Randy Orton learned there are consequences to his actions on SmackDown.
The Apex Predator nailed his colours to the blue brand’s mast last week as he decided to sign the contract offered by Nick Aldis, but what followed has seen the general manager slap him with a fine.
After putting pen to paper on the deal and choosing SmackDown over Raw, Orton couldn’t help himself and rocked the British wrestler turned authority figure with a huge RKO.
He looked a little sheepish after laying out his new boss with the devastating move, leaving him flat on the mat to the delight of the crowd.
On Friday night, WWE went back to the attack in a backstage segment between the two, with Aldis telling Orton he would have to pay a $50,000 (£39,800) fine for his actions.
In a brilliant moment, the former world champion handed over a cheque for $100,000 (£79,700), admitting he was paying double to cover for ‘next time’.

The RKO was the first move Aldis has taken since joining WWE as SmackDown GM in October, and he joins a long list of names hit by it.
Meanwhile, Orton recently revealed how an early shoulder injury and three operations prompted him to adopt the RKO as his ‘finisher’.
The move is based on John Laurinaitis’ Ace Crusher and Diamond Dallas Page’s Diamond Cutter, and sees the star jump into the air, grabbing his opponent’s head with one arm and driving them into the mat.
‘Essentially, I blew my shoulders out early in my career, I’ve had three shoulder operations. So, you can go back, and very rarely will you ever see me pick a guy up,’ the 43-year-old wrestler explained on the IMPAULSIVE podcast.
‘I can pick up a guy and slam him, my shoulders are healthy and fine, but when I blew them out early on, in my head I’ve got it where I’ve got to protect my shoulders.’
He added: ‘I needed a move that I could do to everybody, Rey Mysterio or Omos. I wanted to be able to do that finishing move to everybody, and that was the best choice.’
