CBBC star Jade Alleyne has welcomed a baby boy.

The star, who is best known for her role in the 4 O’Clock Club, revealed she has a seven-month-old son after keeping her birth quiet.

Having kept her pregnancy journey out of the spotlight after announcing in March that she was expecting, she revealed this week that she and her partner Ce Yung were parents to a ‘beautiful baby boy.’

Taking to Instagram, Jade, 22, wrote: ‘7 months ago the Lord blessed us with the safe delivery of a beautiful baby boy. We gave thanks and began the new stretch of parenthood.

‘We have been showered with love, gifts, blessings, grace, safety and support.

‘This time has been like no other. We have explored new depths and known joy like never yet before.’

The dedicated Christian went on to celebrate God in her post, saying ‘Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! A baby boy is born! Amen.’

Jade did not post to Instagram for 34 weeks after announcing her pregnancy, with her newest post coming this week with the announcement she had safely welcomed her child.

And on Thursday, she shared a snap cradling her son, whose face is turned fro the camera, and wrote simply: ‘Mother.’

Jade starred in the 4 O’Clock Show for five years, appearing as Clem Burton from 2015 to 2020.

She’s also been in BBC’s dystopian science fiction drama Years and Years and Netflix’s British-Spanish mystery thriller White Lines.

Jade shared the news of her pregnancy in March by first announcing she was not only a ‘successful actor or singer’, but a ‘well rounded woman’.

Sharing a photo cradling her bump alongside her partner, she wrote: ‘This man is my shelter, my rock, my best friend, my confidant, my co-pilot, my greatest supporter and confidence builder, a ray of light in the best times and the times I need it the most, the love of my life and the father of the new generation of family we are building.

‘This new phase of life for me has been the deepest, most challenging and most rewarding. I thank God consistently in the moments I draw myself close to Him for the opportunities I have been given to live this life to the fullest and am so glad I have been bold enough to live all of it.’

She added: ‘In this season I find myself becoming all of the multi-faceted woman He has made me to be. Not just a successful actor or singer, but a well rounded woman with a fruitful life. I feel fulfilled, grounded and whole.’

Jade also said that while she was ‘naturally very private’, she felt ‘extreme joy from being transparent enough to share this news’.

‘May God watch over our newborn and see us through a healthy delivery,’ she added.
