It turns out the AI version of Amouranth is just as popular as the real one, it’s stirred up debate on whether it exacerbates loneliness.

Twitch and OnlyFans star Amouranth rang in the new year by releasing an AI bot that will be your friend, or even girlfriend, depending on how much money you’re willing to send its way.

The most expensive payment plan, which would classify you as ‘Boyfriend’, costs $199.99 (£158) per month, and according to the bot’s profile it can chat, send images, and engage in roleplay.

It sounds like that caught many fans’ attention, as the AI bot made $34,000 (£27,000) in just its first 24 hours.

Amouranth went on Twitter to tell everyone, and added that each person who chatted with the AI version of herself spent an average of $20 (£15) on the bot.

She also went on to address criticism she’d received, that her AI bot causes loneliness issues as fans might become virtually attached to the bot.

‘A lot of people are saying this type of thing is the cause [of the] loneliness epidemic – I disagree,’ she said in the tweet.

‘This doesn’t cause loneliness – it’s probably closer to being therapeutic. It’s what people reach for to refrain from feeling alone. An AI that passes the Turing test is part of the solution, not the problem.’

The debate on whether AI bots are good or bad continued, with one commentor adding:

‘It doesn’t cause loneliness but this literally doesn’t help the problem. You’ve basically monetised a form of digital heroin targeted towards people who crave attention so they can convince themselves it’s really you they’re talking to and not a robot.’

What is certain is that Amouranth’s AI bot is yet another successful business venture to add to her portfolio, which also includes a £13.4 million investment in a fruit orchard, a £7.5 million 7-Eleven, and selling beer made from her vaginal yeast.

From her perspective, the AI bot is just another income stream for the crafty influencer, who has always made a point of saying she’s planning for a future where she no longer streams.
