I’m plus-size and being forced to wear a Shein bridesmaid dress with 16 other women, it’s bodycon and I hate it

A CURVY fashionista is not looking forward to wearing a hip-hugging dress to a wedding.

She despises the way the dress fits and wants to know how she can cover her arms and feel more comfortable.

An anonymous Reddit user asked for help on the Wedding Attire Approval forum.

She had to vent after finding out the outfit she was being forced to wear to her childhood best friend’s nuptials.

“The bride, bless her, picked out a one-strap bodycon dress … for all 17 of her bridesmaids, linking us to Shein,” she wrote.

The Redditor was not looking forward to being a voluptuous woman in a Shein dress.

“Let’s be real – Shein isn’t exactly renowned for being plus-size friendly,” she wrote.

Now, the bridesmaid has to alter her dress so she doesn’t feel self-conscious about her arms, one of her biggest insecurities.

“I’ve got the bride’s permission to tailor the dress for a better fit, but I’m worried she might be expecting the same design for everyone,” she said.

“I’m just really self-conscious about my arms,” the original poster explained.

“Would it be wrong for me to modify the dress further to feel more comfortable?” she asked.

One of the top responses was from someone who said the author should add “flutter sleeves” or wear a shawl.

The person said all changes should be discussed with the bride and other bridesmaids, too.

Another popular comment was from someone who was unsettled by the bride’s choice to pick a garment from Shein.

“From everything I’ve read here Shien is not the best quality-wise, no seams for making adjustments and the material is not great quality,” the responder said.

A third person said a seamstress could provide some solutions.

“Your tailor might be able to give some ideas on what may be possible- though it will likely be cheap material which can be tricky,” the person suggested.
