In a surprise announcement on BBC’s The One Show, actress Sophie Rundle revealed she was expecting with her husband Matt Stokoe.
The pair star as husband and wife in new drama After the Flood, where Sophie’s inquisitive Joanna is pregnant as she dives into a murder mystery.
However, the Peaky Blinders icon shared that she herself is now also expecting and declared it the ‘longest pregnancy’ as she had a fake baby bump while filming.
‘I am now pregnant in real life,’ the 35-year-old actress confirmed and added: ‘So this is starting to feel like the longest pregnancy any human woman has ever endured.
‘Wasn’t pregnant then, had a big fake bump and I think I was sort of put off when I had the fake bump then enough time had passed and now I’m going in for more.’
The hosts congratulated the Gentleman Jack actress, who hasn’t shared any further details about the good news or posted a traditional announcement on social media.

Sophie and her Misfits husband Matt, 34, have been together since meeting on the set of Jamestown a few years ago.
The acting couple are engaged and share one son together, Henry, who was born in April 2021.
Matt, who plays Pat Holamn in After the Flood, spoke to Metro.co.uk about their new show and climate activism last month.
He said: ‘I think that the writing’s on the wall, isn’t it? Climate deniers are the same as the people who believed in the Y2K virus: don’t watch it then; let’s just see in ten years what happens.
‘But this is not a rallying cry; it’s not a lecture: it’s a show about human stories that reflect the world we live in.
‘And it just so happens that you can’t talk about the world that we live in without talking about one of the biggest issues.’
