TalkTV presenter Alex Phillips has revealed she was close to being mugged in broad daylight in London.
The journalist and former politician, 40, revealed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that someone on a bike tried to grab her bag.
She wrote: ‘A little s**t on a bike just tried to mug me on Oxford St in broad daylight.
‘He grabbed at my bag and karate chopped my arm as I was holding my phone.
‘It fell to the floor meaning he’d have to get off his bike to snatch it, so he sped off.
‘Nobody blinked an eye.
‘London is grim.’
Phillips previously co-hosted a GB News programme with Simon McCoy in 2021, and was later given her own programme, The Afternoon Agenda.
However, she left GB News a year later in September, and in July 2023 began presenting a Saturday afternoon programme.
