No that is not a suede suit, but kebab meat. Yep, Rylan went and did it (Picture: Deliveroo)
Whether you think it’s gyros or not, Rylan has gone and done it: he’s just dressed head to toe in actual kebab meat.
We weren’t expecting this either. But it’s happened.
Worryingly, the 35-year-old presenter looked quite dapper in the oh-so beige get up, which could be mistaken for a suede tasseled suit, until you are told from good authority it’s actually kebab meat.
Yes, real kebab meat. From a spit.
At least if Rylan got peckish he wouldn’t have to go far, and no worries about dripping mayo and grease down your front – that would only improve things.
Does this all sound a little bit… familiar? Well, that’s because in his choice of attire is actually a little bit of a parody.

That’s right, cast your minds back to 2010 – a simpler time all-round. But crucially, it was when Lady Gaga rocked up to the MTV Video Music Awards in a dress made entirely out of raw beef.
While nominated for 13 awards, Gaga wore the iconic outfit which went down in history as one of the most-discussed (and disgusting) red (very red, actually) carpet moments of all time.
A year later the Born This Way hitmaker attended the 2011 Grammys in an egg – but no one remembers that.
Aside from his gyros, Rylan also dressed as a very stringy pepperoni pizza, recreating Rihanna’s golden cape ensemble from the 2015 Met Gala.
Pictures of the yellow dress hilariously turned into a meme of a takeaway pizza which went viral at the time, and Rylan is making our dreams come true here with an real life representation of this nine years on.
He also wore a mini pizza headpiece. An instant classic.

Now Rylan is bringing it back to life (Picture: Deliveroo)
Self confessed ‘takeaway connoisseur’ Rylan has recreated the iconic red carpet looks with a foodie twist to celebrate his new role as a judge for Deliveroo’s Restaurant Awards.
The awards have 60 categories including 50 regional cuisine-led titles and the Independent Restaurant of the Year awards.
With the awards season kicking off with the Golden Globes last weekend, we can’t wait to see what the weirdest looks will be – and neither can Rylan, apparently, as he flicks back through his history books with these nostalgic gems.
Talking to Vogue about her meat dress back in 2021, Lady Gaga remembered how it ‘smelt like meat’.
‘It was thrilling to wear,’ she said. ‘There’s a corset under [it] but the corset was sewn to the meat. So this is actually a garment. They didn’t just drape meat over me and cross their fingers.’
Some animal rights charities weren’t happy with the look, with Peta branding it ‘offensive’ – but Gaga said in a post-show interview with Ellen DeGeneres that no offence was intended, and the outfit was a protest against the US military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, which prevented service people from disclosing their sexual identity.

‘For me this evening it’s [saying], “If we don’t stand up for what we believe in, if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones”,’ she said.
This comes after Rylan was attacked by a bat in some seriously unexpected footage that came earlier this week.
Fans were in stitches as the former X Factor contestant explained how he opened his front door and a bat flew into him, landing on his hand.
‘Now, it’s snowing – has anyone got any bat expertise?’ he asked, totally baffled and in a state of shock.
‘Is that normal? When it’s snowing? Because it has flown and landed on my hand. There. It’s landed on me and then gone!
‘Can someone please tell me if that’s normal behaviour? Because I don’t think that’s normal for the bat. I’ve already got a [pet] pheasant. I don’t need this! So can someone tell me, please?’
We would love to be a fly – or indeed, bat – on the wall in Rylan’s day-to-day antics, because there truly is never a dull moment.
Voting for the awards is now open (closing Sunday 21 January at 23.39) via the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards website.
