Selena Gomez has been absolutely roasted by RyanAir online after she took the shortest social media break ever.

The star is perhaps the queen of taking herself away from the online world – but her latest ‘break’ lasted less than 24 hours, and she’s being rinsed online because of it.

The Only Murders In The Building star, 31, announced just yesterday she was going to leave social media for a time.

Sharing a picture of her boyfriend Benny Blanco playing with children, she wrote: ‘I’m off social for a while. I’m focusing on what really matters.’

She has done this before, by the way.

Except before the story announcing her big hiatus had even expired on her Instagram story, Selena had posted again – and fans have dubbed the U-turn ‘annoying’.

Posting a picture of her and Gordon Ramsay with a link to the footage of the pair together, she wrote: ‘@gordongram stepped into my kitchen and showed me how to make an amazing breakfast burger.’

RyanAir took the opportunity to do what they do best and be social media mega-trolls, as the account shared the news of her return to socials and commented: ‘If “I’m never flying Ryanair ever again” was a person.’

‘Selena Gomez is so annoying and also 100% me if I were a mega famous celebrity,’ @wattandbothered wrote on TX, formerly Twitter.

Meanwhile, journalist Kat Tenbarge wrote: ‘Someone on Reddit said they think Selena Gomez thinks a social media break is when you close the app and I think that’s exactly right.’

‘She didn’t even make it to 24 hours I’m crying,’ chimed in @Snshores, while@dackout pointed out: ‘The “I’m taking a break” story hasn’t even expired yet PLEASEE.’

But some suggested the recent post with the TV chef might be her social media team, not the star.

This comes after a Golden Globes controversy involving her mate Taylor Swift, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.

It all started when a video emerged of Selena whispering something into the Shake It Off megastar’s ear that was clearly pretty juicy – if Taylor’s response was anything to go by, as her jaw almost hit the floor.

Speculation about that this titbit was soon began on social media, as rumours spread it might have been about the Dune actor and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.

Selena took to E! News’ social media post about the rumours to set the record straight, as she wrote: ‘Nooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up.’

Well, we thought that was that, until the actor declared her departure from the online world. Again.
