Others wondered if the instructional video was “satire”tiktok@tanyaburr/
The 34-year-old had taken to the social media page to share an OOTD clip earlier this week, sporting a miniskirt, black top, long coat and checked scarf.
In the comments on the video, someone asked Tanya how she tied the scarf, which she answered in another clip.
“I’ve never done one of these before, answer a comment with a video, but let’s do it,” she began.
“What I did with my scarf was just put this (shorter) part where I wanted it in terms of length, like that.
“Then I just put that round, tucked it under so that’s like one knot there, and then just threw that part down the back.
“You can kind of tie that as tight as you’d like.
“And then it won’t move or move of your shoulder all day.
“And that is the finished scarf look!”
People in the comments section were quick to weigh in on Tanya’s demonstration, with many insisting it was “just a knot”.
“Thrilling content,” one said, sarcastically.
“isn’t that just.. a knot.. am I crazy?” another asked.
“Is… is this for real?” a third questioned.
“Not people asking how to put on a scarf!” someone else commented.
“Has everyone lost the plot or is this a joke?”
“I’m really hoping this is satire,” another wrote.
“Wait I got lost can you show it slowly?” someone else sarcastically wrote.
“Howling at this!” another admitted.
“Not everyone has the fortune of learning all the same skills as us,” someone else hit back.
“Different people have diff knowledge, be kind, maybe they never had anyone to ask before.”
To which another responded: “I get that but honestly it’s putting one piece of material over another.
“Common sense.”
“Omg I had no idea how to tie a knot wow,” someone else said.
