US reality TV stars ‘freak out’ after staying in this UK city-Rishma Dosani-Entertainment – Metro

It’s the day we’ve finally been waiting for as the Traitors US season two is set to be released on Peacock, introducing us to a fresh batch of faithfuls and their secret enemies.

The first three episodes of the competition will drop on the streaming platform at 9pm ET, with the remaining instalments premiering every Thursday.

Unlike the first series – and the current UK version – there are no civilians taking part, with the cast full of celebrities, politicians and reality TV stars.

Alan Cumming has reprised his role as host, watching over proceedings as Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge and boxer Deontay Wilder are among those battling it out for the $250,000 prize.

The presenter shed light on the new episodes during an appearance on tonight’s episode of the Graham Norton Show, and revealed that the latest batch of faithfuls and pesky traitors actually ‘freaked out’ while taking part – as they got to grips with filming in the infamous Ardross castle in Scotland.

‘The castle is the same and the missions are mostly the same, but I pretend it’s my castle and the people are all reality stars rather than civilians,’ he explained.

‘It is a shock to their systems as they have never been to Scotland, and they are in a rural bubble outside Inverness, so they freak out a little bit.’

The first season of the game show proved to be a massive hit, and saw Big Brother star Cirie Fields walk away with the jackpot after successfully convincing her co-stars that she was a faithful – despite being a traitor all along.

All eyes will be on the fresh batch of contestants, with Big Brother alums Dan Gheesling and Janelle Pierzina hoping to follow in her footsteps with another win.

Larsa Pippen – star of Real Housewives of Miami and Kim Kardashian’s ex-BFF – will also be calling the castle her home, alongside her boyfriend, Marcus Jordan.

Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Sheree Whitfield will be reunited with former castmate Phaedra Parks, while Dancing With The Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Drag Race favorite Peppermint and The Bachelor’s Peter Weber are also taking part.

The Challenge stars Chris ‘CT’ Tamburello, Trishelle Cannatella and Johnny ‘Bananas’ Devenanzio will join Shahs of Sunset’s Mercedes Javid and former MP and Commons Speaker John Bercow in the competition, along with Love Island’s Carsten ‘Bergie’ Bergersen.

Kevin Kreider has swapped Bling Empire for the Scottish wilderness with Survivor stars Parvati Shallow and Sandra Diaz-Twine rounding out the line-up.

The synopsis reads: ‘The Traitors is a nail-biting psychological adventure in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game. Entertainment’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces play the ultimate murder mystery game.

‘Hosted by award-winning actor Alan Cumming at an ancient castle set deep in the Scottish Highlands, contestants work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000.

‘Hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves.
