Vinted buyer stunned after spotting secondhand Primark jumper for £50 – more than it sold for in the SHOP

A WOMAN has been left in shock after spotting a Primark jumper being sold on Vinted for a ridiculous amount.

Lilly, from the UK, took to social media to share the disgraceful discovery she made while browsing the reselling app.

The viral jumper cost just £17 to buy form the store outrighttiktok/@lileviex

She said: “I have a question, because I am in a bit of a state of shock.”

“I was just scrolling on Vinted, you know, seeing cute outfits,” she explained.

“But specifically I’m after some cute jumpers for winter because I don’t really own any, like, nice ones.

“Tell me why I see this?”

She then showed one of the listings she came across while browsing the app which showed a pink jumper from Primark selling for £50.

The jumper did go viral on social media, meaning it sold out of stores quickly – but Lilly was shocked to see the price hiked up.

It originally cost £17 to buy in store, but one jammy reseller decided to make a profit and Lilly couldn’t work out who would pay that much for a cheap jumper.

The fashion fan added: “Like I respect the hustle girl.

“£50 for polyester?

“TikTok has truly changed some of us into crazy people.

“If you’ve got that much to spend, like, please, I’m not hating on you, but I’m just like ‘what the hell’ when we all know for a fact that that jumper probably costs like 20p max to make.

“F***ing crazy.”

The clip posted to her TikTok account @lileviex soon went viral with over 25k views.

“Some Vinted users need jail time,” she penned.

People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments section and many agreed that resellers were going to far when it came to price hikes.

One person wrote: “I think Vinted has become crazy overpriced anyway, like I get people are doing it to get some extra money on the side but it’s still second hand.”

Another commented: “I saw someone post a used coat from next for £150! It’s mad, I’m so gutted this is happening to Vinted now.”

“I’m after them viral Primark pyjamas so I looked on Vinted … SOMEONE WANTS £44 FOR THEM,” penned a third.

“No wayyy that’s actually criminal behaviour,” replied Lilly.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “I have this jumper I payed £17 cos it’s lovely but it’s no worth £50 that’s crazy.”

“£50 FOR A PRIMARK JUMPER,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “Yet I struggle to sell a bundle of kids clothes for £1.”
