Priscilla Presley has shared a loving tribute to daughter Lisa Marie Presley on the one-year anniversary of her death.

The 78-year-old was left heartbroken on January 12, 2023, when Lisa Marie – the only daughter of Elvis Presley – died at the age of 54.

Lisa Marie was rushed to hospital after going into cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, Flordia.

Her death came just days after she walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes alongside Elvis biopic star Austin Butler and director Baz Luhrmann.

Six months on, her cause of death was confirmed as small bowel obstruction, according to the LA County Coroner.

Reflecting on her tragic loss, Priscilla has now hailed the anniversary as a ‘solemn day’.

Taking to X, the American businesswoman wrote to her 179,000 followers: ‘Today is a very solemn day.

‘It’s been a year since your passing and not a day goes by where I don’t think about and miss you.’

‘Rest in peace, Lisa,’ she continued. ‘You are in the arms of your beloved father now.

‘Only that… gives me comfort.’

Priscilla signed off affectionately with, ‘Mom’ and a red heart.

She was inundated with messages of support from fans who had also been thinking of Lisa Marie on the sad day.

User StrengthToDream replied: ‘Sending you and your family so much love and lots of hugs today, so many people are thinking of you. Wishing you all strength and peace.’

Joy Clarke responded: ‘Thinking of you, Riley, Finley, Harper and Danny today and every day – Lisa Marie was a true force of nature, I adored her and her music’.

A shocked user MsMayaPapayaR5 added: ‘It’s been a year already? I’m so sorry. Much love and hugs.’

Following her death, Lisa Marie was buried at her father’s estate, Graceland, in Memphis.

A public memorial was held on January 22 last year, with speeches and performances from the likes of Axl Rose and Alanis Morissette.

Mourners gathered in their hundreds at the mansion in Tennessee – which Lisa Marie inherited from her father – while the service was also streamed live for fans to watch online and pay their respects.

Lisa Marie was laid to rest next to her late son, Benjamin Keough, who was also buried at Graceland after he died by suicide in 2020 at the age of just 27.

Following Lisa Marie’s tragic death, the Presley family found itself at the centre of a legal dispute, making headlines following her will reading.

Shortly after Lisa Marie died, it was reported that her loved ones had clashed over changes made to her trust.

Her mother was thought to be questioning the validity of an amendment that cut her out of the arrangements.

However, Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley Keough, 34, later reached a settlement over the will.
