Sofia Vergara has made her disdain for Kevin Hart fully known – and people have been struggling to work out if it’s for real.

The Colombian-American actress, 51, appeared alongside the comedian, 44, on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (January 12) and had viewers in bits when she made no effort to hide her irritation.

In fact, Sofia and Kevin have known each other for years so it was all in jest – but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t brilliant.

As soon as Kevin walked out after being introduced by Graham, while the studio audience applauded, Sofia’s face told a different story.

Grimacing and rolling her eyes upon his entrance, she didn’t look thrilled to see him, then purposely moved to take up more space on the sofa so he couldn’t sit down.

‘I can’t believe that I came all the way from the United States and you had to be here too,’ she said, feigning frustration.

Reacting to the initial interaction, X user Jane Roberts was firmly Team Sofia, writing: ‘OMG LOVE her, she’s sooo funny!’

‘I am LIVING for Sofia Vergara’s absolute DISDAIN for Kevin Hart’, wrote user Wandoful.

Throughout the show – which also welcomed guests Jodie Comer and Alan Cumming – Sofia persisted with sly digs at Kevin.

As the actor promoted his new project, Lift, Sofia – who plays Griselda Blanco in Netlfix series Griselda – was quick to humble him.

‘This is my first leading role where I’m, like, serious,’ he said.

‘It took you a long time, huh?’, Sofia quipped.

Kevin proceeded to big up his new ‘action star’ status, having filmed plenty of gritty fight scenes for Lift.

‘Because I’m an action star now, I’m on harnesses and all this stuff and I’m like, you can’t overwork me because I’m like a car, baby. You overheat me, Imma shut down. Don’t work me too hard, give me room to go,’ he said.

Chipping in and earning plenty of laughs from the crowd, Sofia joked: ‘He has a little battery.’

‘Don’t celebrate that! Graham!’, Kevin defended.

Reacting to the episode, social media users were in fits of laughter.

‘Loving the bants between Sofia Vergara and Kevin Hart on Graham Norton’, wrote Perveen Akhtar.

User LyndseyPyndsey wrote: ‘Loving Sofia Vergara on Graham Norton, not taking herself seriously & taking the p**s out of herself and Kevin Hart’.

‘I love Sofia Vergara dragging Kevin Hart every opportunity she can’, penned Alexr_241.

Other viewers were confused, though, with one asking if there was ‘genuine tension’ between Sofia and Kevin or if it was ‘just an act’.

While there were plenty of sarcastic jokes made at each other’s expense throughout the interview, Sofia and Kevin later proved it’s all love.

On her Instagram, Sofia shared a video of her cradling Kevin into her chest with a smile.

The Modern Family alum chuckled as she patted Kevin on his head while a friend behind the camera laughed, with Kevin commenting underneath: ‘I love you for life!!!!!! Truly my sister that I never had.’

She and Kevin have been pals since 2004 and have worked together on several occasions.

Their first movie together was called Soul Plane, a comedy/musical also starring Snoop Dogg.

For both of them, it was one of their first movies and they went on to work alongside one another plenty more times so, clearly, the ‘tension’ is just banter!

The Graham Norton Show airs Fridays on BBC One and iPlayer.
