I’m the ‘Queen of Vinted’ and here’s how I boost my sales even when everyone isn’t spending

JANUARY is the time when many of us will be feeling the pinch, especially with all those extra treats over the festive season.

If you are hoping to find a way to boost your bank account, one woman has revealed how she made money selling old clothes on Vinted – even when sales had stalled.

For those who’ve not downloaded the second-hand app, you might be missing out.

Just like eBay, you can sell your preloved clothes and make some serious extra cash in the process.

Whether it’s your old jumper, a t-shirt that’s now too small or even designer gear, there will be someone looking to buy whatever you are selling.

Some women even claim to have made some serious cash on the app, with users claiming that they made hundreds just by getting rid of their old Topshop clothes.

If you are looking to cash in, the so-called ‘Queen of Vinted’ shared her tips and tricks for making the most of every sale on the app.

Whilst Emma Sendall is usually helping her 21,000 followers find bargains, the Tiktok star revealed that she’d managed to stop her sales from stalling – just by adding more low cost items.

Though it seems counter-intuitive, the influencer explained: “If you’ve got a lot of things that are £5, £6 or £7, but nothing that is £1 or £2 you aren’t giving people the chance to build a bundle.”

However, it’s not just the pricing that Emma encouraged others to consider.

Rather than just have one type of item, she told fans that they need to have variety on their site.

“I say this a lot but the more you have for sale, the more sales you will make,” she added, promising her followers that this was a foolproof way to get more customers.

It wasn’t the only piece of advice that she had for fashion fans, as she explained why should be careful when creating your order in another video.

Though most of us would go for the cheapest postage possible, the vintage influencer suggested that this wasn’t always a good idea and could even cost you more.

“If you’re selling stuff and you’ve got Royal Mail turned on, go through all of the items that you’ve got listed and make sure none of them are listed as small,” she warned viewers, revealing that this postage only covers large letters.

Even more alarmingly, you could be charged extra to cover the cost once it is delivered as buyers can request money back.

Unsurprisingly, most buyers won’t be thrilled about this hidden charge and might even give you negative feedback – which could affect future sales.

Instead of hoping you’ll be covered, the influencer urged her fans to check their listing and amend the settings if it was possible.

Hopefully, these useful tips and tricks will help you get a little extra cash before payday.
