Rebel Wilson admitted she is feeling feeling ‘bad’ about herself after gaining weight due to stress.
The 43-year-old star previously revealed she lost around 77lbs (around five and a half stone) during her ‘year of health’ in 2020, but after a demanding period with work, she has since regained 30lbs (2.2 stone).
‘Working really hard has meant that, coz of all the stress, I’ve gained 14kg’s (30 pounds),’ she wrote in a candid Instagram post. ‘It makes me feel bad about myself… it shouldn’t …but it does.’
The Pitch Perfect star explained how the work she’s been doing on upcoming films and her memoir Rebel Rising has left has put pressure on other areas of her life.
She continued: ‘I’m really proud of the work I’ve been doing on new movies and my memoir, it’s just been a LOT and I’ve lost focus on my healthy lifestyle.
‘Anyone else going through the same thing?’
The Australian actress has been candid about her weight loss journey, having decided in 2020 she wanted to spent the year focusing on her health and fitness goals.
She previously explained how she swapped out her carb-heavy diet for high protein alternatives.

She told People: ‘Before I was probably eating 3,000 calories most days, and because they were normally carbs, I would still be hungry. So, I’ve really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn’t used to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon, and chicken breast.’
Part of her inspiration was to try and have a baby, after being told by a fertility doctor she would have a ‘much better chance’ if she lost weight.
Rebel, who welcomed baby girl Royce via surrogate alongside girlfriend Ramona Agruma in 2022, has also claimed her weight loss was delayed due to a clause in her contract for the Pitch Perfect trilogy.

She played fan-favourite character Fat Amy, who labeled herself with the name so people ‘don’t do it behind my back’, and alleged it was in her contract during the popular film series that she could not lose more than 10 pounds.
‘I couldn’t lose a massive amount of weight because I was in the contracts for that movie,’ she told the Call her Daddy podcast.
‘You can’t lose, I think it’s not more than 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms), or gain more than 10 pounds. You have to kind of stay at the weight. It’s in your contract.’
