The so-called Monster Among Men, who is currently out of action recovering from major neck surgery to fix a brutal injury, has reflected on how far he’s come and shared a picture of himself back when he was 21 years old.
Strowman, now 40, posted a snap of himself lying back on a sofa in just his underpants, with a dog looking just as comfortable.
The bearded former world champion has understandably changed a lot over the last 19 years, with his younger self sporting short, smart hair and only the tiniest hint of stubble on his chin.
He has also toned up over the last couple of decades, getting himself into incredible shape as he continued to hone his craft in the world of wrestling.
‘We all have a story to tell in our fitness journey!!!!! #GettingOldIsCool #Grow #Fitness #transformation #postyourbeginning #IWas21Here,’ he wrote alongside the picture on Instagram.

In his pinned post on the social media site, Strowman – whose real name is Adam Scherr – still highlights a defiant message to his critics over the years, particularly those who bullied him over his weight.
He previously shared a grueling workout video alongside a strong caption as he revealed how his naysayers helped transform him into the person he is today.
He wrote at the time: ‘Thank you to everyone that ever bullied me made fun of my weight and said I was never going to amount to anything. You turned me into a #Monster #ProveThemWrong #UseHateToMotivate #ILiveForThis’
Fans are still waiting to find out when Strowman will be back in the ring, and late last year he revealed he is ‘doing great’ as he keeps ‘pushing forward’ each day with his recovery.
He told The Ranveer Show: ‘I just got cleared to start lifting weights again [for the first time] since I had my surgery. Stuff like that. So one day at a time. WWE took unbelievable care of me.

‘They sent me to Dr. Cordova at the world-famous Andrews Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He’s the number one surgeon in the world for this procedure.
‘I was in great hands with that. He’s so happy with where I am in my progress and stuff. So [I’m] putting the size back on…I’m a little fluffy…So yeah, I just got cleared like two and a half weeks ago to fully start lifting weights again.
‘I’m still on the no contact to the head, no taking bumps and stuff like that. So it’s still going to be another month and two before we start easing back in the ring. But when it’s time to go, we’re going.’
