The daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg has suffered a medical emergency.

Cori Broadus, 24, revealed on Thursday that she had been diagnosed as having suffered a stroke in hospital.

The youngest child and only daughter of Drop It Like It’s Hot rapper Snoop, Cori shared the devastating news with followers via a post on Instagram.

In a post to her Stories, she shared a photo of her hospital bed and room and wrote: ‘I had a severe stroke this am.

‘I started breaking down crying when they told me.’

Cori then shared another snap of herself in a pyjama hoodie and medical mask, with words over her face: ‘I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this?’

The Choc Factory CEO has battled health issues for most of her life, having been diagnosed with lupus at the age of six.

Lupus is a long-term condition which can cause joint and muscle pain, extreme tiredness, rashes and headaches, and can contribute to depression and anxiety.

In September last year, Cori spoke about the lifestyle changes she had made in an attempt to help manage her symptoms.

She told People: ‘I’ve been good, better than I’ve ever been.

‘I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago. I’m just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas … So now I think my body’s like, okay, this is the new program and she’s getting used to it.’

Pointing out that she’s been on ‘medication since she was six years old, she ’10 to 12 pills every single day’ since she was six years old, she said she had decided to quit ‘cold turkey’, and at the time had felt a noticeable difference.

In 2021, she opened up about her mental health struggles as she grappled with her physical health, admitting she has ‘always been sad and depressed because of my health.’

‘You’re just in pain and you don’t know what’s going on. And you look at your brothers and other family members and you’re like, “Why? Why me?”,’ she said in a heartbreaking video to Instagram.

‘Sometimes I just feel like I don’t have a purpose here. I deal with so much health stuff and I feel like people don’t really feel me, like I’m being dramatic.

‘I’ve been through so much s**t. I can’t even physically tell y’all. Because it’s too much.’
