A year to the day after Jay Briscoe died aged 38 in a horror car crash, his daughter walked again on AEW Dynamite.

The latae Ring of Honor legend, whose real name was Jamin Pugh, died aged 38 in the devastating accident on January 17, 2024 while his girls Gracie and Jayleigh were in the car at the time.

His eldest daughter Gracie needed surgery in the wake of the crash, with doctors telling her she would likely never be able to walk again.

However, Jay’s brother and tag team partner Mark Briscoe had some heartwarming news for All Elite Wrestling fans on the anniversary of his sibling’s death.

He came out during Wednesday night’s show and paid tribute to his brother, before reflecting on what the doctors told his niece.

‘They told my oldest niece, “You’ll never walk again,”‘ he said, before taking a brief pause.
