Dan Walker has revealed a ‘nasty altercation’ with some crunchy peanut butter caused his tooth to fall out while presenting his radio show.
The former BBC Breakfast presenter, who moved to Channel 5 in 2022, also hosts a weekday breakfast programme on Classic FM.
However, during his latest show Dan, 46, was faced a problem when his tooth dislodged after enjoying the spread.
‘Actual tooth fell out on air this morning after a nasty altercation with some crunchy peanut butter,’ he posted on social media.
Sharing a photo of the tooth in question, Dan snapped a selfie holding it while he looked on with an expression that appeared to be a mix of shock and disgust.
Many people offered their sympathies to Dan’s dental incident.

‘Snap! My crown snapped off last week – a front tooth too. My sympathy,’ user izzyandlouis shared.
‘That’s the stuff of nightmares right there,’ Helen Rickard added.
Another, sukilon2019, added: ‘Smooth peanut butter…it’s the future.’

In February he was left bruised and battered after being knocked off his bike by a car.
At the time the Strictly Come Dancing star – who shared pictures immediately after his fall from inside an ambulance – also spoke about potentially needing to have his tooth removed and being unable to feel a part of his lip.
Just over six months later Dan shared he was still suffering from ‘nerve damage’ following the accident.
Responding to a Q&A on Instagram, he explained how if he sat down for more than 10 minutes his ‘leg tingles and foot goes dead’ but that he was ‘in the process of having it looked at’.
