I found a rusty old suitcase in the rubbish & was stunned when I found out how much it was worth – turns out it so rare

THEY say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

And it certainly was for one bloke, who found an “expensive” and “really rare” fashion item…in the bin.

Darick, whose hobby is to “treasure hunt,” discovered a suitcase which he claims is worth over £3,000.

Taking to TikTok, he shared a surprising find and the video has since gone viral.

Darick, who goes by the name of ‘abandonedexplosquad,’ filmed a rugged old suitcase which he discovered whilst going through some bins.

In the video, he says: “So believe it or not this ugly old suitcase is actually worth £3,000.

“I just looked it up on Ebay and these are selling for £3,200.

“It’s made out of genuine alligator skin and these are really rare and we found this in the trash.”

The suitcase is believed to be by a designer called Royalshia and could also be used as a briefcase.

It appears to be black and has been accessorised with stickers.

The suitcase, which has clearly been well used, is rustic around the handles and edges, but appears to be in a working condition.

The video, which Darick has shared to his 230k followers, has since gone viral with over 66k liking the video.

Many people also rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “It’s that expensive because it’s made of alligator skin and it’s hard to get alligator skin of that age.”

Another added: “I guess whoever the last person who put in trash didn’t know its value.”

A third suggested that Darick’s find could be worth more than what has been quoted on Ebay.

They wrote: “Yours can be more expensive because it looks old and it might be vintage.”

Vintage simply means old, and many experts will say that the items need to be at least 20 years old.

But vintage is not to be mistaken for antique.

Experts believe that antiques must be at least one hundred years old, and this is the rule of thumb for any items including furniture, and fashion clothes or accessories.

This isn’t the first time Darick has hit the jackpot with his finds.

He recently bought a “rich person’s” abandoned suitcase for £80 and “hit the jackpot.”

Darick decided to go for the most expensive looking case at an auction, and what he came across stunned everyone, including himself.

It was a carry-on sized suitcase, rather than a big one that would usually get checked into the hold.

Once he had opened it, he discovered some designer make-up and watch, as well as an iPad, Louis Vuitton wallet and Prada purse.

Talking about getting his money back from having to pay £80 for the suitcase, he says: “I have no idea if this is real, but if it is, that would be awesome and would definitely pay for the suitcase.

“I have to get this thing checked out.”

Darick also adds: “Usually people are reimbursed when their luggage is lost.

“But most airlines put little to no effort into finding owners before selling their stuff unfortunately.”
