To make matters even more bizarrely surreal, their face-to-face meeting happened while the TV presenter was lying shirtless in his bed.
On Saturday night, the latest episode of Michael McIntyre’s Big Show aired on BBC One, which involved Bradley, 63, becoming the latest celebrity to have their sleep abruptly interrupted by the comedian for an unexpected game show quiz.
In the dead of the night, Michael, 47, snuck into Bradley’s hotel room with a film crew with the help of the star’s son Barney Walsh, 26, who he presents with on Gladiators.
After giving his guest the shock of his life by waking him up, Michael revealed that one part of their midnight gameshow would involve him asking questions from The Chase that previously made the presenter crack up laughing.
One of them went as follows: ‘In what sport does Fanny Chmelar compete?’, the options for which were swimming, show jumping or skiing.

If you are an avid fan of The Chase, then you might remember the moment years ago when Bradley had to read out that same question for a contestant… and broke down in uncontrollable laughter over the athlete’s name.
At the time, he even said that he’d head straight to the courthouse to change his name if he was in her shoes.
On Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Michael announced: ‘Please welcome Fanny Chmelar,’ leaving Bradley in a state of utter shock, before adding that he was joking.
But, it was a double bluff, as Fanny, 38, did indeed then appear, carrying her skis in tow.

Bradley’s eyes couldn’t have been wider and his jaw was on the ground as Fanny turned the corner and appeared at the bottom of his bed.
Immediately, he exclaimed: ‘I am so sorry! I am so sorry!’ while holding his hands to his head. ‘I didn’t mean to laugh.’
After Fanny revealed the correct pronunciation of her name, Bradley stuttered as he tried to find the right words to say in her presence.
‘This is really surreal,’ he eventually managed to say. ‘This is the most surreal moment of my life. I am properly sweating. I am actually sweating.’
He then finally sat up, telling Fanny: ‘It’s so lovely to meet you,’ as he extended his hand to shake hers.

‘You’ve got a grip and a half on you!’ he remarked, to which Michael quipped: ‘‘Cause she doesn’t like you Bradley.’
That wasn’t the only surreal part of Bradley’s night, as he wound up sharing the bed with fellow star of The Chase Anne Hegerty (after putting some pants on); being reunited with Peter Nokes, the man who married him and his wife and who christened his son Barney; and having a laugh with entertainment star Brian Conley.
Viewers couldn’t believe what they’d witnessed on the programme, particularly Bradley’s reunion with Fanny, with one called Darren writing on X: ‘My life is complete. Bradley Walsh meets Fanny Chmelar.’
‘Bradley Walsh meeting Fanny Chmelar will not be beaten as the best TV moment of 2024. Classic TV,’ added Simon.
Michael McIntyre’s Big Show returns on Saturday at 6.50pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
