Sharon Osbourne has made a heartbreaking confession about her mental health after she found out about Ozzy Osbourne’s affair.

The 71-year-old TV personality now spends much of her time caring for her husband, now 75, encouraging him to move back to the UK as his health hits a rough patch.

While they are now closer than ever, when Sharon discovered the Black Sabbath star was having an affair for four years, she tried to take her own life.

The former X Factor judge confessed she had attempted suicide when she discovered Ozzy’s fling with hairdresser Michelle Pugh, which lasted from 2012 to 2016.

Speaking at her live show at London’s The Fortune Theatre on Sunday, January 21,the icon said: ‘He always, always had groupies and I was so used to that.

‘But when he knows the name of the person, where they live and where they work … it is a whole different thing as you are emotionally invested.’

She locked herself in her bedroom and was only found when the maid tried to come into the room and clean, saving Sharon’s life.

Sharon, who is mum to Aimee, 40, Kelly, 39, and 38-year-old Jack, said she thought: ‘My kids are older, they are fine and can take care of themselves.’

After this, the Osbournes took a break and split briefly – having been married since 1982 – but reconciled a year later with Sharon posting a loved-up anniversary tribute in 2017.

‘A therapist would diagnose him as an addict and me as a nutter, but we are totally co-dependent,’ the TV personality added.

Since 2019, Ozzy has been battling Parkinson’s disease among other health woes and the pair were set to return to the UK in December 2021, quitting the Los Angeles lifestyle.

Ozzy, born in the West Midlands, and Sharon, from London, are yet to return full-time as the rocker is insisting he must be able to bring the dogs with him.

When he was diagnosed, the Prince of Darkness praised his wife Sharon as a ‘god’ for taking him back after his infidelity.

At the time he told The Sun: ‘Sharon and I have never been as close as we are now. It’s great. Sharon has been a god.

‘We all make mistakes. I’m lucky she took me back. Sometimes I sit there and go, “What was I thinking?” I won’t understand why it happened until the day I die.’
