Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury marked their daughter Bambi’s first birthday party with a luxury party but are facing backlash for how they went about it.
The famous couple, who met on Love Island in 2019, welcomed their first child in January 2023, and celebrated her birthday on Tuesday with gifts, balloons and cake.
However Molly has been criticised for, of all things, the colour scheme of the one-year-old’s party, as she opted for all-white outfits, clear balloons, and grey decorations.
The model is known for her love of neutral colours, but critics leapt to slam the young mum for not adding a splash of colour to her daughter’s party.
On an Instagram post sharing snaps from the big day alongside a caption paying tribute to her ‘beyond special’ daughter, trolls hit out at Molly for the colourless party, with user Rosie Hiley slamming it as ‘boring’.
‘White white pristine white, where’s the colour? Especially for a baby it doesn’t look like a birthday,’ she wrote.

User pr8luv93 called it ‘bizarre,’ while chantelle_s12 said ‘it’s her child’s first birthday a bit of colour or baby pink wouldn’t have gone amiss.’
Donnamarie75x praised the ‘beautiful’ photos but said children and babies ‘need colour for so many reasons,’ with Sharonowen3265 agreeing ‘children are supposed to be stimulated,’ asking ‘don’t you worry about the lack of colour in her life?’
And _tyron_wb asked: ‘Birthday party? Looks more like a wedding.’
Plenty came to Molly’s defence however, many pointing out that a child’s first birthday party is more for the parents to celebrate as the little one is too young to understand what’s going on.

Emma Louise said ‘she’s one, she’s not going to notice whether there’s any colour or not,’ with XJosie.h arguing ‘if that’s what [Molly and Tommy] chose to do then that’s what they wanted.’
‘There’s so much love in them pictures you’re clearly colour blind,’ user Louise Foley said in Molly’s defence.
User Mind_your_manders asked ‘is it your birthday or your child’s birthday? No? Mind your business.’
And Leashaaiv_aestheticnp said she was ‘completely obsessed with this party aesthetic, so sweet and feminine.’

Molly shared plenty of photos from the big day to Instagram, along with the sweet caption: ‘My one year old. Happy first Birthday to my little gir. I love you more every single day. You’re so beyond special Bambi… I’m so proud to call you my daughter.’
In one snap, Molly cuddles her daughter, both dressed in white, while Bambi beams at the camera, and in another the one-year-old eats cake in a high chair beside a wall covered in black-and-white photos of her.
Molly also showed off multiple cakes made for the big occasion – most of them white, but one she made herself filled with bright-coloured button chocolate and a rainbow lollipop.
And there was the splash of colour critics complained about, as another photo sees the baby girl on a blue elephant rocking chair, dressed in a pale pink-and-blue outfit.

The couple tend to get stick for even the most innocuous of comments, with Molly facing backlash in January for… commenting on the weather.
She, Tommy and baby Bambi rang in the new year with a luxury holiday to the Maldives, and the influencer commented that she had spent a week ‘hiding from the torrential rain we travelled across the world for.’
To which people responded telling her to ‘shut up’ as ‘some people can’t afford food.’
Molly likely didn’t take the criticism to heart however, and instead of moping over the weather, the trio instead extended their holiday and flew to Dubai to catch more winter sun.
