But while her ascent to TV superstardom has been stratospheric, that doesn’t mean everything has always been smooth sailing for the 48-year-old who was reportedly ‘gutted’ after being snubbed from the Baftas this year.
As well as providing more than her fair share of TV gold moments, including accidentally shoving a man into a dock and her viral interview with Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, Alison is also a dedicated mum.
While she tends to be private concerning matters of the heart, over the years she has given glimpses into her love life, including with a gardener and a Celebs Go Dating contestant.
Here is everything you need to know about Alison’s family, love life and career.
Who is Alison Hammond’s son?

Alison shares Aiden, 18, with her former partner Noureddine Boufaied, a cab driver in Manchester.
Aiden stays out of the limelight although it was recently reported he was approached by Love Island bosses.
But according to MailOnline while Alison was ‘flattered’, Aiden ultimately ‘turned down the offer.’
Last year, he made a very rare TV appearance, popping up in a Disneyland segment for This Morning alongside his mum.
In 2021, Alison admitted she was thinking about growing her family and adopting another child one day.
The presenter shared that she still has ‘so much more love to give’ and that she’s determined to have another kid in the future.
She said: ‘I was so nervous about becoming a mum in the beginning, and I look back and think: “What was I nervous about?”
‘He has enriched my life in ways I never even imagined. He’s brought so much joy, I can’t imagine life without him.’
Has Alison Hammond ever been married?

‘I think as soon as I hear the word marriage I get cold feet. I think I’m just one of those people,’ she said on Rosebud.
‘I always – not think there’s something better – but I always get a bit nervous to know that is it.
‘I just feel like I’m tied down and I don’t like it, when really and truly, I’m getting to that age now where I think, “Alison, let go – it’s OK to settle down.”’
The former couple dated for around two years but kept their relationship private with the pair only pictured in public together once.
In a rare insight into their romance, Alison said in January 2023: ‘A year-and-a-half I’ve been with him, and no one knew. He absolutely worships me and massages my feet every single day. What more do you want?’
In 2020, Alison was also briefly involved with Ben Kusi after they met on Celebs Go Dating.

Alison is believed to be single since her split from Ben last year.
She previously spoke about her approach to relationships on Gyles’ podcast Rosebud, admitting she ‘struggles’ because she loves her own company.
Alison said: ‘I think that’s why I struggle in relationships because I don’t want somebody around me all the time. I love being on my own. I’m OK with it. I’ve never felt lonely.’
Has Alison Hammond left This Morning?

Alison has been on This Morning for more than two decades – since 2002 – and is very much still part of the show.
Currently, Alison presents This Morning with Dermot O’Leary on Fridays alone, but bosses had reportedly wanted her to front the show Monday to Thursday, as Holly previously did.
A source said: ‘Alison has long been a favourite with bosses. She’s very popular with viewers and celebrities often request her when they appear on the sofa.
They continued to the Mirror: ‘She’s happy to fill in but has politely declined the job more than once.’
How did Alison Hammond first become famous?

Alison shot to fame aged 27 when she entered the Big Brother house for the third series of the Channel 4 show in 2002, alongside Kate Lawler and Jade Goody.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine last year, Alison explained her reasoning behind signing up for the reality show: ‘Everyone kept saying: ‘You should go into Big Brother.”
‘At the time I was £4,000 in debt. I went into an internet cafe to apply online.’
The then-cinema usherette proved to be TV gold, famously breaking the garden table after attempting to speak to a security guard over the wall and teasing fellow housemate Alex by confessing she’d weed in the communal shower.
She was evicted after only two weeks and admitted she initially thought she’d just return to normal life but was offered a job as a roving reporter on This Morning a few weeks later.
On the ITV show, Alison’s unique way with Hollywood’s biggest stars became a TV sensation from accidentally hitting George Clooney with a microphone to getting ‘married’ to The Rock.
She then notched up more appearances on TV shows, including I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Strictly Come Dancing, landing in 10th place on both programmes.
Arguably, however, her biggest role to date has been as a co-host on The Great British Bake Off alongside Noel Fielding.
