Holly Willoughby is heading stateside for some important meetings with US TV and streaming bosses, it’s been claimed.

The former This Morning presenter, 42, has been invited to Hollywood to discuss opportunities to launch a career in America.

This is specifically said to include Disney Plus, alongside other major television brands.

Holly, who returned after a prolonged absence from our screens to front Dancing On Ice again earlier this month, is more available and able to pursue these sorts of offers than before.

It comes after she abruptly quit ITV’s hit morning show in October, after a shocking alleged plot kidnap and murder plot against her was revealed.

She is already reported to have been chosen to present a new jungle-based programme for streaming giant Netflix, alongside Bear Grylls, in which celebrities will be pitted against him.

An insider told The Sun that the mum-of-three was now ‘a free agent’ and for the first time in years ‘free to be courted by these huge streaming platforms’.

‘A number of US networks and production companies have been interested in her for a while and she’s caught the attention of some major brands.

‘She has true star pulling power and as well as being glamorous is a polished professional in front of the camera. It’s an exciting time,’ they added.

It’s also been suggested that Holly is keen to promote her lifestyle and wellness brand Wylde Moon over in the States, having been inspired by US actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s big success with Goop.

‘Holly has made it no secret that she is following the Gwyneth Paltrow brand model,’ the insider added, claiming that launching herself across the pond could ‘make those dreams a reality’.

It’s been a tough few months for Holly, who shares 14-year-old Harry, 12-year-old Belle and Chester, eight, with her TV producer husband of over 16 years, Dan Baldwin.

She made the difficult decision to leave This Morning ‘for me and my family’ after her scary ordeal and stepped away from the spotlight in the autumn.

Gavin Plumb, 36, of Harlow, Essex, has pleaded not guilty to charges of soliciting murder and incitement to commit kidnap.

The security guard was denied bail and will remain behind bars ahead of his trial, which is scheduled for June 24.

This too came not long after her former co-host Phillip Schofield resigned from the show and all other ITV projects after admitting to a previous ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a younger runner on the show, which he subsequently lied about to his longtime friend.

Since Holly’s departure from the show, ITV bosses have been keen to permanently replace her after a series of guest presenters have filled the gap.

However, those in charge are said to be impressed by Siân Welby, 37, who recently trialled four days of hosting alongside Dermot O’Leary, 50.

According to one insider, ‘Siân has done a fantastic job’ and everyone at ITV ‘totally loves her’.

And this is said to be despite the Capital Breakfast Show co-host alongside landing in hot water.

She is the focus of over 100 Ofcom complaints along with Roman Kemp and Chris Stark after making fun of a small business live on the radio.
