Logan has impressed even his naysayers in the professional wrestling world with his dedication to the business, and that was on full display on Saturday night.
From a bloody nose to his chest being chopped raw by KO, the Prime energy co-founder took a beating at the hands of his challenger even as he retained the title.
The ending was a controversial one, as one of his entourage hopped the barrier to give him some brass knuckles, only for the referee to stop him and try to get him away from ringside.
Amid the confusion, SmackDown superstars Grayson Waller and Austin Theory came down with the latter handing Logan a spare set, but KO was able to steal them off his hand and use them himself.
Despite laying out Logan and going for the pin, Owens made a mistake as he forgot to take the brass knuckles off, which the referee spotted before disqualifying him.
It meant Logan escaped with his US Championship run in tact, but he still took another beating from his opponent after the bell.
He got sent crashing through the announce table in front of commentator Michael Cole, Corey Graves and the returning Pat McAfee, with another bloody wound spotted on his shoulder.

Elsewhere on the show, Roman Reigns had a little help from Solo Sikoa earlier in his successful Undisputed WWE Universal Championship defence against AJ Styles, Randy Orton and LA Knight, with the latter standing out in a great match.
The night started with the women’s Royal Rumble, featuring surprise appearances from the likes of Naomi, TNA Wrestling Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and the debuting Jade Cargill, while Liv Morgan made her return from injury.
It was Bayley who emerged victorious, setting the stage for a WrestleMania world title match.
